Legend of Dragoon

I was reminiscing about my early gaming days, and remembered one of the first RPG's I've ever played, the Legend of Dragoon. Looking back and after playing all the rpg's i've played now, it really is pretty lame in comparison, just wondering if anyone else has played this PS1 "classic", lol. I hadn't noticed it in anyone's list of games they have owned, haha.

God. Stop posting threads in which they are games I like. It makes me look attracted to you.

Anyways, yes, I played and beaten this game. It is quite good with a complex storyline that you have to play twice to understand the undermining features.I actually really enjoyed this game for the time and I still play it every now and then at my friends. Good stuff.

 That's too funny. I know, I do tend to have that effect. lol!

Well, I did enjoy Legend of Dragoon when I played it. Your post makes me want to play it again now, maybe I might appreciate it even more this time.

Pretty nice change from your standard RPGs especially the battle system with the timing of your attacks made more involving to be with, major problem I had though was that the story and characters were your usual bog-standard fare and it was just a bit too predictable.

I really wanted to play this game when it first premiered, but I read there was a lot of backtracking through dungeons and such. It scared me away from the game, really.

Wow, I had no idea how popular Legend of Dragoon was. I was under the impression that it hadn't been that popular of a game for some reason.

It's pretty popular on PSX, I rented it once, I played it forever, It was awesome!!!!! Im still looking for it right now :(

Overall great game.

I remember trying so hard to get the timing of the gust of wind dance attack down. It took me quite a while but once I got it it was such a good feeling...

Ahh...good times.

The only reason I found this thread was because I was on my way here to make the same one o_O

The Legend of Dragoon was the first RPG that I played. In some ways, I find it more enjoyable than some of the Final Fantasy titles. Each character received amazing development and related to one another (obviously, though :P). The storyline was completely unpredicatble, yet fantastic. I loved the use of those attack things .. what were they called? Additions? I totally owned Rose and Kongel's moves and I actually thought they were the hardest. It took a while to adjust to the whole Lavitz > Albert situation, because their timings were all out of place.

The only criticism I have for this game is how it has become somewhat obsolete after playing some modern games. I think I'll play that again, over Christmas actually :P

Pretty good game, Legend of Dragoon. I lost interest when you were able to first control the boat for some reason, and haven't beaten it. I really sucked at everybody but Dart's Additions. :P

So did I ... Astral Drain sometimes looked a bit dodgy though, considering where her blade sometimes struck the opponent. The beat of light which emenates from her comes from her arse as well, which isn't always pleasant *pmsl*

Wow I use to totally love this game. I think I played it after FF7 and around the time of FF8. So it sort of merged well with my tastes. I never completed it though as I never had my own copy, which I really regret now, as it's so hard to find it anywhere!

But yes it was a great game, I loved the whole layout of it and the storyline was very interesting. I love good storylines, which is what attracts me most to games so this game could quite easily be in my top 10 RPG's list.

It's one of my top favorite for the PS1. Actually after playing FF7 & FF8, a friend suggested I give this RPG a try and I wound up loving it. It has all the making of a great RPG, good storyline & characters, great battle system and a great ending.

In fact, over my years of surfing, I've seen much debate among fans for PS2 or 3 sequel. Wouldn't mind seeing one myself.

Legend of Dragoon is indeed an awesome game, if you haven't played it yet then you've missed out on a great RPG. I especially liked the battle system.

i love dragoon i played a demo in a store once.......but i never owned it!!OH HOW I WISHED FOR THAT GAME!!!!but alas it never came true....and so the flower girl wept at the thought........but.....it didnt make her wish come true. sniff...sniff...:(
