The Hammer - Alternate Ending?

Isn't there supposed to be an alternate ending if you have the hammer in your possession? I just (in the last few mins) completed the game with the hammer, but I don't think I saw any alternate ending... Either that or it was so similar that I didn't realise it was an alternate ending...! Anyone know if there is an alternate ending?
 
I think that if you don't have the hammer then Zidane will have died and he and Garnet won't be reunited at the end.
 
no its something to do with zidane having a hammer in the play at the end or something
 
Its the hammer that makes it change? I heard it was having Hades synth "Save The Queen" that makes the ending change?
 
Having the hammer includes an extra line in the play. Zidane says:

"No cloud nor squall can hinder me."

As a tribute to the other 3D protagonists :)
 
Eh? I didn't know anything about this hammer thing! What the heck? >.< I didn't even know there was supposed to be a possibility of an alternate ending...well, is there? o_O

anyway i wouldnt consider it an alternate ending its more of a extra
 
Lol you have to go way out of your way to get the hammer, but the spoils aren't even that great.
 
unless you use the hammer to create either save the queen or tin armour (tin armour is better)
 
I got the hamer but didn't notice anything. Well, I know now what it is and it's a pretty crappy change considering what you had to do to get the hammer
 
I'd just go with making the tin armor, and use it to help be beat ozma. ^_^
 
Really, it isn't worth it. Just use the hammer for synthesis, and read the spoilers online. I've not once got the hammer, but I know the extra, and where it goes, so yeah. It's not a huge deal.

As for whether the Save the Queen does the same as the hammer... Well, I don't know. It's been rumored to, but I wouldn't believe it. It's like the rumor of the clock resetting to get the Excalibur 2. Doesn't work.
 
It's just an additional line in the ending which I never focused on since I beat the game the first time without it, then eyars later beat it again with it and never really picked up on the main difference. I know what it is now, but that's for you to find out yourselves by gettnig the hammer. :)
 
I didn't even realize the ending was different at first, because i Just zoomed through all the dialogue. LOL.

lol ok then, I was jsut kinda hoping people would go play it and get the hammer to figure it out themselves, but I'm sure that the quote has been typed up here before.

Great line though, def a great line.
 
Its a great line alright, but i always zoom past it. loll
