Help The "golden shiny wire of hope" is missing from my game

So, I am now in Wall Market and I have to climb that pipe to infiltrate Shinra Corp, and well, it is not in my game. I have looked at enumerable walkthroughs online, my own physical strategy guide, and youtube videos and it seems that you are supposed to find a crowd of kids that take you to the pipe, and that crowd is unfortunately absent from my game. I have done everything else in town (got the batteries, etc), so it appears that my game has "glitched".


I am currently playing FFVII on the PS3 using a used Playstation disc, by the way.

Are you sure you're not maybe missing something that you need to do? I think I encountered that a long time ago myself. :hmmm:
 
That happened to me before too I was infuriated. Every piece of that story that has to do with Wall Market is so irksome. I fuckin' hate place.
I mean, I guess you figured it out now as well. Congrats. Hopefully you remain a member here.
