I don't think I've seen the third one, but that's the one that most people seem to like to me. I'd say my favourite of the three is the first one, though it is a close call.
Die Hard 4 looks crap to me though. I can't quite say what it is but it just looks like a really mediocre film from what I've seen so far =/.

Cant wait for the fourth film.
The die hard saga are some of my favourite series of films.
Gotta say the first was the best followed by the third the second film was good but it lacked the excitement of the others. And like u said the simon says game in the third film was cool especially when he tell him theres a bomb in the bin lol lol lol

Die Hard 4 looks really good. I haven't seen it yet. I'm not sure if I will though. My favorite is still the original. It's probably one of my favorite movies of all time. Definitely in the top 20. Never saw Die Hard 3.

I love 1 and 3, IMO they rank as 2 of the best films ever made. They are so witty and funny. Hopefully I shall see 4 this weekend, but Im not too impressed by the trailers. I may change my mind afterwards, but at the moment its ranking with 2 and 2 is my least fav.

Ive also seen the alternative ending to 3 and its okay.

I went to see it this afternoon and I was impressed. John McClain hasnt changed one bit and it was such a top notch action movie!

I went with number 1. I enjoyed them all much, to me it goes in the order of how they were made
1
2
3
4
Although, sometimes I almost like the 2nd one better than the first.

Bald Bruce in 4 is the best so far to me; mainly because it's the only one I've seen.

I caught it last month for my Brother-in-laws' bachelor party and I have to admit, I was surprised. I went there thinking I would hate the movie, but now I wanna see the first 3 that I've missed. If you haven't seen the 4th one yet, it's definitely worth it.

Dont think i've seen 3, but i cant wait to go and see 4. only trouble being the cinema i go to gets films about a month after everywhere else :(. but tis cheap :).

I just went and saw Die Hard 4 the other day. It was good but it was so far from the original concept of the series that it didn't set very well with me. All and all it was a very clever and high intensity action flick. Huzzah for that.

They just added a few elements that were stupid... one being over the top sub-villians, like the guy who was hippin and a hoppin and bippin and a boppin all over the place, ya see? The other thing was ad placement. Dear lord, if he showed that he was holding a Nokia phone one more time or that they were all using Alienware computer... I would have shot someone myself.

But the thing that bothered me most was how many different locations the movie was filmed in. The original movie had about 5 minutes top in an airport, 5 minutes at the Gennero home, 5 minutes at the TV station... and the rest of the movie all occurred within or directly outside of the Nakatomi Plaza. Die Hard 2 occured in only 2 locations: The Airport and a small church directly outside the airport. Die Hard 3 skewed farther away from the original premise but still pretty much kept the movie within the confined region of NYC. That, of course, not including when they went to Canada for the last 10 minutes of the film for no freaking reason whatsoever...

Die Hard 4 took place in NYC, Washington D.C., West Virginia, North Carolina, Montpellier, Mars, and Tennessee. It was just all over the place. Granted it was still a solid action flick and the main character was still very much John McClain but everything that made the original so great was simply non-existent. All the movies around about surviving and slowly turning the tide as the enemy is whittled down... but it just felt so different from the original, I'm pretty sure it ranks at the bottom of the four movies.

I haven't seen the fourth one yet...I guess I will just wait for the DVD.

I voted for the no 3....though I like the first one a lot, enjoyed no 3 the most... never liked second one that much.

I have just watched Die Hard 4 last night and it doesnt disapoint. The only thing I have to say bad about it is that it is a little over the top.
