Sonic never died on Shadow the Hedgehog. He just got his ass handed to him in a 2 vs 1 battle. Man, that's just pathetic.

Well I wouldn't consider the opening an actual death. I just looks to me like he got his ass handed on a silver platter to him by either Shadow or the Black Arms. And during that boss battle doesn't count for the story since he's claerly alive and well.

since this is in final fantasy fun, how can sonic use chaos control and majin slow down time?

Besides sonic, only silver and shadow can initiate a chaos control, sonic never does without shadow's help

performs a backflip to dodge the projectiles and summons alexander (ff8)

Damn looks like I've been killed a couple of times...crap...anyway....
Zanmato(and Shiva...of course) enter the fight(again) and start with casting Mighty Guard on himself, Shiva, Namine and Lone_Wolf. Then he uss zanmato on Sepirothalpha.
