And perhaps limited abilities for said optional characters, if you get Quina, i'd say get Limit Glove. Although resetting until s/he gets 1HP with a Phoenix Down can take FOREVER sometimes. -__-

I.. don't know. Maybe limit the abilities they can use in battle.. like, pick two for each person, other than Garnet who is like the God of this game. Zidane could only use Attack and Steal, and Eiko could only use... Summon and White Magic, and Amarant could only use Attack and whatever the fuck his monk skills are called, just attack and magic sword for Steiner.. etc. Vivi could have like, black magic and item.

... or does that sound stupid? :sad3:

Oh, I'm definitely doing FFIX. I'm all excited now. Though, I'll drop it (like it's hooooot. {Fucking shit music in the back of my mind :rage:}) if I get a PS3 when I'm supposed to. <.< /trying not to get excited

I wanna continue FFVIII too, I love the card game. :ryan: It's just... so amazing. need to start that damned Queen of Cards quest and then go get Rinoa. -__- Can't wait to have her, though any parts where I DON'T have her a... OH MY GOD. I LOSE HER FOR HTE BETTER PART OF A FUCKING DISC. HOW DID I FORGET THIS?! :rage:
 
It's doable, don't worry.
Just stay low levelled and you SHOULD be fine, if not you may have to bend the rules a little, how..I don't know, thoughts? :8F:
 
We'll... see when I get there? Or... I... don't know. Maybe using abilities that aren't Draw/Magic/GF, like Recover, Restore, etc...? That could work, maybe. <.<

maybe just allowed to use items if you're struggling? That should get you through, VIII's not as tough challenge wise compared to some of the others. Still tough, but not AS tough. (Emphasising that fact)

You shouldn't be too bad if you have items, just stuck lots of Hi-Potions. :gasp:
It'll just be a matter of killing them before you run out for most part. XDD
With items it'll be a lot more plausable though.
 
I'm still half-dreading it, I'll have to rage post in here as I fail .___. I'm looking forward to the cutscenes though, haven't seen them in ages. :ryan: The spider one was great, after not seeing it in like, over a year. <.>

I think I'll finish out my level 1-5 cards and then move on, too. I wonder how many that is. -__-

You can even get Holy after Dollet, it's madness! (Sparta. and. I. will. kill. you.)
and Flare beforehand, I think FFVIII is the most 'look at how bloody EARLY I can get shit!' of the games.
 
I'm collecting cards for Thundaga/Blizzaga/Firaga/Flare. :wacky: I want amazing junctions. :sad3: I need like... Ruby Dragons, Hexadragons, Blitz...es, and something else that I don't remember. :hmmm: I'll get enough tents to make 100 Curagas as well, and maybe mod some regens/lifes out of cards too... though lifes are useless except junctioning.

Can't wait to go play cards some more :8F:
 
I ALWAYS get enough Tents for 300 Curagas (100 per person), it's amazing and really simple to to. XD
I tend to get stuff like Fir/Blizz/Thund-aga (s) early on as well, and Dino Bones (which are kinda hard) for Quake, but they give decent STR boosts.
 
Dino bones... oh god, that's 2 T-Rexaur cards per bone, isn't it? -__- I think I may try to kill myself if I do that. ... oh god it's tempting, I kinda hate you.

It's generally best to wait until Tomb of the unknown King, one of Sacred or minotaur's cards turns into 100 Dino bones, so... yeah, better to wait.
The Kiros card later on is a must get (this is Deling City later on), since it gives three Accellerators. Which = Auto-Haste.

Minotaur's is 10 adamantines, Sacred's is the Dino bones. Though... I don't mod the rare cards, usually. :| I like having them to play with. <.<

Other than like... a few. But when I get Angelo's, I won't mod it, not even for the 100 elixirs. I just... it feels weird. :sad3:
