Superstitions

I'm not superstitious about anything. Bad luck is just as it is, bad luck. There is no such thing as having complete bad luck for 7 years. Now on the other hand I may joke about it around someone who I know is not superstitious, for example if we encounter a black cat I may make a remark about it but that's it. Also Friday the 13th is nothing more than a day to me. Bad luck days can happen on any day so if it happens on Friday the 13th it is just a coincidence.

I'll be superstitious for fun. Like, sometimes I'll hold my breath when driving by cemetaries, or I won't open umbrellas inside or walk under ladders. I don't believe I will be plagued by bad luck for doing any of these, but it's fun to go along with it.

And sometimes I will hold good luck charms if I need to take an exam or if I am playing a game. If anything, it's for the placebo effect where I will end up doing better. Or I might do something if anything for symbolic reasons.

Am I superstitious? only for fun. Do I actually believe in any of that stuff? no

I sometimes believe in superstitions. But does this count?
I found out that, opening a pair of scissors and placing them under you pillow at night keeps away harmful spirits.

There's also a really scary superstition about babies not being able to look into a mirror before a certain age point because it means they might die soon.

I only saw that because of the movie "The Unborn".
