I thought the black market was an actual place. My parents told me there was a lion in my grandmother's upstairs bathroom so I was not to go up there.

I used to believe that my pops would be a better father emotionally... I always wanted to have a figure I could look up to, but as a kid I believed everything he told me. "No honey, your mom and I are okay."
"i'll stop drinking."
"I'll be home in a few days." [his job]
It just kind of sad as I grew up seeing my dad just get worse and worse with age. I used to love him so much when I was a wee babe, but he fell out.
I believed in the tooth fairy, Easter bunny, Santa Claus... it's just funny looking back on how they "come in your house" and how I believed it for so long
probably until I was in 6th grade.
