Prologue...
"I always thought there would be a way out. You know, a place to...vent? Somewhere you can go to tell something everything, someone who will listen and not just nod there heads and demand money from you for it. I needed to actually speak to someone, a friend. There were so many things I just wanted to get off my chest, and the only I could do that was to end it all. I had decided that I would never talk again, never love again. I'd never dream, or wish. I'd finally be alone, so I took it upon me to take the pills. I took more than prescribed. It felt good for the first ten minutes, then the world starting to spin around. My eyes were fluttering constantly, it felt as if I was completely and utterly drunk. After five more minutes, I started to feel sick and a painful grip in my stomach, it felt as if I was being stabbed.
It finally came to and end. I got my final wish, I made sure I'd set everything up ready. I wanted to make it perfect, I wanted everyone to known I had gone. I wanted to make an impact. I was bullied at school, every day I'd be called names. General stuff intending that I'm insane, I have no life and I'm ugly. I couldn't handle any of it and although I can forgive those who made me feel pain, I cannot forgive the five who watched me be bullied. The five people who stood and over heard the name calling, the abuse. The five people who knew something was going on, and the only five the could do something. They did nothing. I've done some planning and left them some surprises behind. They'll find them, and they won't like them. I'll make them pay. They are the reason I ended it. The reason is because...
They are the five people who killed me."
"...do you love me?" Grace asked, batting her eye lids at Hayden.
"Uh, yeah...of course I do." Hayden replied, quite absent.
"Good. I was beginning to think otherwise." Grace answered, biting her pen lid.
The pair of them sat beside each other, Grace rested on a creaking wooden stool with her legs firmly crossed and Hayden sat with his back slumped and generally comfortable. The elegant girl looked at Hayden's work, he'd been writing down generic music knowledge for the past thirty minutes, and Grace was getting rather impatient wanting him to converse with her. The whole class was silent, and they were all putting pen to paper, it seemed that Grace was the only person who couldn't think of what to write.
"What are we doing after college?" Grace asked, pen in mouth.
"Uh, don't know." Hayden answered, not taking his eye of his book.
"We could go to my place." Grace replied, batting her eye lids once again.
"No thanks, I've got coursework to do." Hayden said.
Grace huffed and began to jot random notes down in her book. She hated college, all she wanted to do when she signed up to do music, was to just sing. Grab a microphone and sing. But it seemed that it was generally all coursework and not much time in the recording studio. Grace began to draw pictures of her future album, and its artwork. She smiled cheerfully when she wrote underneath it: "Number One Album", she bit her lip and returned to gazing at Hayden, who was still focused on his work, she rolled her eyes and rested her head on her palm. Sighing to get attention, she was ignored.
"You're not a very good boyfriend, are you?" Grace asked.
"I am, I'm just trying to concentrate..." Hayden said.
"You're just wasting your time." Grace replied.
"No. I'm not. I'm trying to do this." Hayden looked rather annoyed.
"I'm off, you coming?" Grace said, jumping to her feet.
"Nope. See you." Hayden smiled, Grace grabbed her bag and stormed out.
Grace began to hum to herself her favourite song and casually strolled along the corridor, around her were school lockers and as she approached her own, she received a text message, as it began to vibrate in her pocket, she put her bag on the ground. She reached into her jean pocket and removed her mobile. It was a text from her best friend, Seong. He said:
Grace began to slowly smile and opened her locker, with phone in hand she began to press buttons to make her reply. As she looked up, in the corner of her locker was a notebook, it didn't belong to Grace. She put her mobile in the locker and grabbed the notebook. It didn't have a lot of pages, in fact it only had one. She opened it and on the first page it said:
Grace raised one eyebrow to the note and put the book in the nearest bin, she shut up and locked her locker and put her bag on her shoulder. She hasn't realised she'd left her phone in her locker, before she strolled out of the building. She walked across the front of the college and towards the gates. When to her left side she saw Mai and Kim.
"Hey!" Grace shouted, waving.
"...oh god." Kim whispered to Mai.
"Be nice..." Mai whispered back.
"How're you?" Grace asked, standing before the two.
"Better wit--" Kim began.
"We're good. You?" Mai butted in, kicking Kim sneakily.
"Not bad, just a bit pissed off at Hayden." Grace admitted.
"Oh, why?" Mai asked.
"He's been blanking me for some stupid exam." Grace answered, sighing.
"That monster." Kim joked.
"I know! Right?" Grace replied.
"See you around, G." Mai said walking away with Kim.
"Bye." Grace replied watching the couple walk away hand in hand.

Grace raised one eyebrow to the note and put the book in the nearest bin, she shut up and locked her locker and put her bag on her shoulder.
