Help Starting a new game of FFX, any tips?

Thanks guys, I'm not sure if I will do a lot of the extra stuff. The lightning bolt thing just sounds annoying to be honest, specially when you can easily beat the game without legendary weapons.
Though some stuff I might do, and i never knew that about the snowmobile thing!

The fuck! I had to get a dog to get some overdrive for Valefor?! DAMN IT I HAVE TO RESTART THIS GAME ALL OVER AGAIN!

I don't know, you may be able to revisit Besaid after obtaining the airship at the end. But I never had to do that so I don't know.

:hmph:

Well anyways for me I never had to fight a dark aeon, even though I always went back to the cloisters and for Valefor's second overdrive...So Idk :hmmm: I wonder why that never happened :O

Well I made sure I got the secret item in the first temple anyway, I don't wanna go back to them and fight the dark aeons so it's just easier to get them as i go. I'll probably use walkthroughs for this because i hate the trials, I dont' wanna sit there for ages trying to work it out.

I'm just at the bit before you leave Besaid. :hmmm: I will play more tonight

FFX = My 2nd favorite FF.

I would suggest using the "Capture" weapons when you can. It's a opportunity for Rikku to steal a bunch, and for you to snag some EXP. The reason I suggest doing it a lot is because the rewards for turning the monsters into the rancher are quite good.
On the topic of Ultimate Weapons - If you are a hard core collector then by all means try to get them. I however would suggest building weapons for your Characters. In a save game I have Rikku with a weapon with the following traits:
Auto-Haste
Stonestrike
Damage Break
Zombiestrike
These homemade weapons are far more fun than the ol' ultimate weapons. Basically my Rikku's speed is so high she attacks well over 10 times before anyone else can make a move. Combined with her huge luck stat and the 2 strike components, she can often 1 KO enemies (Stonestrike) or convert them to Zombie status then I just us a Phoenix Down on them. There are millions of weapon combinations so have fun with it.

On the topic of Phoenix Downs - When you fight that giant snake thing in the sewers. (I think it's sewers type thing, I can't remember exactly) - Regardless - The snake/serpent thing is undead/zombie so you can really kick it's arce with Phoenix Downs.

I'll think of more later. Have fun!
