Truth. After watching the videos, it's hard to think that it won't be anything but amazing. Have you seen the videos for each race? The ones that show gameplay and tactics? The new options and units look amazing. The Mothership for the Protoss is like OMG. O_O
 
I'm nervous about the Zerg's radical changes though. I rarely played zerg but still...it's hard to adapt to change.
 
I do like playing the Zerg. I like playing all the races, 'cause they all have their perks. It's hard to choose. Sometimes I play a race according to what other people are playing, so that there's a mix. I usually don't like playing the same races unless there's more than one zerg, so the tunnels become more useful.
 
I mostly played Terran or Protoss, but I'd do zerg every now and again. I'd say Terran was my overall favorite.
 
By the time Protoss built up enough to get carriers, zerg players are usually boned though. =P
 
Depends on how you play. I know some people who will build up a 5-line defense of cannons to fend off any invasions, and then builds up carriers to swamp the players. Like 5 sets of 12 or something. Usually that's if it's played in a BGH.
 
I actually cant wait for either, even though everyone's been shitstorming about Diablo 3 looking like WoW. I've been playing Diablo 2 online for ages...I think it looks awesome and i hate WoW, so yeah. As for Starcraft 2, it will be great to see some of the units in 3D and stuff, also playing around with the scenario builder where you can use the units from the first game will be godly, cause i think the new game scrapped Dragoons, Vultures and Firebats amongst others :_:
However it will be way different to original SC, i mean it will probably see less competitive play compared to the original, and all my micro training/1000 APM/hotkey clusterfuck will be useless, but hey the ZOMFG, LOOK ITS 3D.

 
I cannot wait until this comes out, I loved the first one and I just really cant wait to see how SC2's story is going play out. Never been a big fan of Diablo but might check it out.:cool:
 
Yeah, SCII will be good. I have no doubts. It is a little sad that not all of the same units are used, but I think it's a little refreshing to have some new ones. And we must give them credit for keeping and beefing some of the old units, to have consistency. If they replaced everything, it would cease being SC.
 
New Protoss tripod mechs and those Terran jetpack marines look really good, they can traverse cliffs and stuff. And it looks like they tried keeping same game mechanics, like its still important to surround your enemy especially when using zerglings and stuff. Ans Terrans also get a new massive mech.
 
Starcraft is one of the most epic fucking games I've ever seen in my life. I had my name as Kerrigan, for a short while. :wacky: I've actually got a separate Starcraft thread further down this page but it's a tad outdated.

Looking forward to seeing more of the Queen of Blades. :gmonster:
 
Heres some really big news on Starcraft 2. There splitting the game into three installments, one for terran, one for zerg, and one for protoss.

At first I saw this and was like 'this sucks', but then I read on and I guess each game with have 30+ missions. Still just another way for Blizzard to make uber amounts of money.:confused:
 
I am NOT at all happy about this. We've waited long enough, they've drawn out the delays far too much and I'm almost at the point where I'm considering why I'm so bothered about this game.

And, then, it hits me - Starcraft is bloody epic. All three games had better be released at the same time. I blatantly refuse to have to wait another year for another instalment, when they're perfectly capable of releasing the game right now.

I'm also not liking that the Protoss are coming last - typically, the last faction to take part in their series is the "winner" of that instalment.
 
I'm not much of a fan of StarCraft, but I can not wait until Diablo III comes out. All the videos I saw for it make the game look absolutely fantastic. For now I just want to know what the other classes are, aside from Witch Doctor, Barbarian, and Wizard.
 
I meant to post this ages ago but Blizzcon '08 took place (somewhat) recently and we have a plethora of new trailers, including one in which Kerrigan's appearance is revealed to us in a confrontation with Zeratul, who narrates the general plot line to SCII - the Xel'Naga have returned but have they come to destroy?

I'll refrain from linking to every trailer but, for any Starcraft fans, I'd recommend a good look through GameTrailers. Other content includes a chat with Chris Metzen about the decision to split the game into a trilogy and some more in-depth demonstrations of cutscenes, including one where we briefly see the Queen of Blades wreaking havoc in a news report. It's all definitely worth checking.
