Here is a simple debate between:

1) Yoda
2) Darth Vader
3) Darth Revan
4) Darth Bane
5) Obi-Wan
6) Qui-Gon
7) Windu
8) Darth Maul
9) Ankin Skywalker
10) Darth Vader (before the suit)
11) Darth Sidious
12) Luke Skywalker
13) Han Solo
14) Boba Fett

and explain why you chose them.

P.S. NO SPAMING

Darth Revan because he is the best out of them all. Strong in the Foce, nomatter the connection. Long live DARTH REVAN!!!!!

10) Darth Vader (before the suit)

Rectify it :gasp:

Theres your winner(s).

In terms of all round potential no one had more than Anakin Skywalker (other than Luke Skywalker, but he's no the original :P)

I reckon lightsaber king Mace Windu would have beaten him in a duel and soresu master Obi Wan did in emphatic style in Return of the Sith but no one can touch his midiclorian count :mokken:

It's canon people. Accept it :griin:

Yes, he did have a "high-speed dial-up" connection with the Force, but he CAN NOT AND WILL NOT be as powerful with the Force than Darth Revan. Darth Revan will forever be #1. Anakin/Drath Vader didn't have a firm grip on the Force and couldn't control it, therefore, proving that Darth Revan would clearly annihilate him within the first five minutes of battle. A match that would prove worthy of seeing though.

Another match that I would think would be wourthy of seeing is Yoda and Mace Windu. Master v.s. Master. Teacher v.s. Student. Now THAT would be a match.

And I noticed that in the IVth movie that Obi-Wan did the same thing to Luke that Qui-Gon did to him: just put away the lightsaber and let the Sith Lord kill him.

Well my Revan was a blaster rifle wielder :wacky: gunner jedi fail

so thar :P

But really, if it came down to lightsabers you'd have to say Mace Windu ftw.

Darth Bane should get an honourable mention as most influential Sith Lord ever establishing the rule of two. Owned every Sith Lord in his time :mokken:

True. I forgot how many it took to take Bane down. Yoda would more than likely beat Windu, but who knows for sure anymore.

I reckon Yoda would lose to Windu. Yoda lost (lets face it) to Palpatine whilst the emperor was at the mercy of Windu until... you know..

Can't we agree on anything :rage:

Sure. We agree to disagree that Windu would beat Yoda. Besides, Yoda is cooler than Windu. Yoda can be lightning quick with a lightsaber, while Windu was bearly holding his own against Sidious. Key word, BEARLY. He had to ask for help. Yoda got slammed into a wall and got back up to fight. Windu was being held back by the Force lightning and struggling to regain his balance and posture. But yeah, we can agree on something.

Who the hell is Odi-wan? Some sort of Garfield/Star Wars crossover character?

Anyway I voted for Luke Skywalker. Kicking Sith bum before anyone had even heard about midichlorian counts (I still wish I hadn't...)

Shall I point out that after a continued onslaught of lightning; Windu forced Palpatine to drop his guard and would have killed him if not for Anakin. Meanwhile Yoda was eventually blown a good hundred or so feet to the ground.

Now then; could we argue that Palpatine was only bluffing and would've kept up if Anakin hadn't walked in? Probably. At the same time however, the simple fact that he did bluff weakened him considerably and had Anakin listened to Windu, Palpatine would've been a smoldering corpse then and there.

One on one; it is possible neither of them could've beaten Mr. Gooooood, but as the fights in the movies went; Windu had a solid chance.

Now continuing, allow me to point out one thing:

You forgot Darth Caedus (Jacen Solo). And you can argue canon status of the novels all you want; canon status is lost when you bring the video games into it :p

His connection to the Force was freakishly strong, to the point that he was able to achieve his own level of time travel through the force. Despite the up-to-a-point invisibility the Yuuzhan Vong had with the Force; Jacen was the one who finally defeated them. He went on to demonstrate such power that even other Jedi Masters were afraid of him and yet unable to do anything about him for fear of repurcussions. Face it; Anakin was at least restrained/held back. Jacen was cautiously allowed to go about things as he pleased.

Now as to my vote; while he was not the one to finally fight him; Luke Skywalker demonstrated many times that he could soundly kick Caedus' ass with little effort. Luke was powerful enough to create a force illusion in Caedus' personal chambers and subsequently use the force to telekinetically pin Caedus to his chair; holding him totally immobile.

I know there are many Sith Lords who are quite powerful; and Luke Skywalker can hold them still and helpless. With his mind. From the other end of a ship. He can do it while projecting the illusion that he's a mere three feet away from the other guy. That demonstrated level of power, combined with the sheer restraint not to use it as freely as he could is what makes him the greatest IMO.

EDIT: You also forgot Naga Sadow and Exar Kun. With all the other Sith Lords up there, surely forgetting the most powerful of the Sith race and the Dark Lord who ignited the Sith War roughly four thousand years before ANH is blasphemy:p

The hell? It's between Yoda, Obi-Wan, Boba Fett or Darth Vadar.

But if there was a General Grievous in the mix, he'd win every time. I'm gonna go with Yoda, though. Yea, Yoda. After Episode III(even though it's technically VI) there's no doubt in my mind Yoda can kick all of their asses.

Yoda lost out to Sidious in an even fight.

Pre-armor Vader lost to Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Post-armor Vader lost to Luke Skywalker.

Boba Fett has at best, escaped with his life and damaged pride when fighting Vader. Furthermore if you accept that it was Fett himself on Jabba's barge and not Tag Greenley (lol), then he's also been owned by a nearly-blind man with a stick. Fett's good, but considering most of the people on this list are either force-sensitive for force-trained, he won't make it.

Obi-Wan was good. The reason he kicked Grievous' ass is because Grievous was programmed/trained in every lightsaber style (and I kid you not; because of this he could have given even Windu and Yoda a hard time). Obi-Wan had no distinct style, and thus Grievous could not defend against him worth crap.

Grievous...see above. As for Yoda; see above as well. There's no doubt he was powerful, but Sidious still handed him his little green butt on a delegate saucer.
