I'm actually suprised this one has not been mentioned as of yet.

Star Trek Online is a MMORPG, currently in open beta and due for going live on the 2nd of Febuary via global release, Star Trek online has been developed by Cryptic Studios the makers of the well known titles City of Heroes/ Villains and Champions online, in association with there partner Atari.

Star Trek online will feature such things as space combat, away missions, heavy customisation and micro management of your bridge crew and will feature "Episode" style missions, to make people feel like there living the TV show.

Good news ladies and gentlemen, I currently have a Spare Open Beta key to give away!

I will be running a shoutbox competition at some time during the wee hours of the morning (UK time) for anyone who wants a shot at winning the key, the competition will be composed of the fastest correct answer first on all things Star Trek, the majority of the questions will be based on the movies, voyager and the next generation

In other news, we watched an extensive preview of the game and it looks grand. Being able to create your own customized race, fly ships, seek out new life and civilizations, and to boldly go where no man has gone before sounds fucking epic.

We can't wait until this game comes out.
