Square Enix reveals TGS 2008 line-up

I wasn't sure where to post this, but i'm posting it here.

Square Enix has revealed it’s line-up for this year’s biggest gaming event in Japan, TGS 2008, which starts on October 9 and lasts until October 12. There’s still no mention of The Crystal Bearers, but at least Dragon Quest IX is in.

Since Birth By Sleep is making a showing the only thing I'm really bothered about is Versus XIII tbh...and that rumour of KH3 being announced to see if it is or not. FFXIII news bores me atm for the pure fact they show they same trailer every time, just with a few more seconds added on.

Something I noticed there, that I've not heard about before; FFXI on PS2? I don't particularly keep up on gaming news a lot these days, but what's the word with that? Is it still online only, or is it going to be modified to be played offline?

I hope they'll finally show scenes of FFXIII and FFvsXIII with dialog in it; I wanna know what the hell these people are gonna sound like >__<

I highly doubt KH3 is gonna be revealed anytime soon, or if it's even being made as we speak. I'm more hyped about the games involving the story of what happened BEFORE KH1, and therefore set in motion Sora's story.

If Square is gonna make FFXI playable without being online and paying every month, then my interest in it will be rekindled, of course

Cool! They're also showing more stuff related to the Nobula Chrystalis (or however its spelt) compilation! I'm hoping we'd get to see actual in-game footage of Versus and Agito (I know I'm asking for a lot ).

Square Enix Sampler #3 will be at TGS 2008

Square Enix has a tradition of handing out a sampler CD to every customer who makes a purchase at their Tokyo Game Show music booth. This time around the sampler will feature tracks from various soundtracks and collections, including: Infinite Undiscovery, Sigma Harmonics, Final Fantasy Remix, Subarashiki Kono Sekai + The World Ends With You and Final Fantasy XI Piano Collections.

For some reason, I'm having a hard time getting too excited for the handheld Kingdom Hearts titles. They just make me feel that the wait for "KH3" will be even longer...

Versus XIII and DQIX have me the most interested.

It's been on the ps2 for about four years now. It came out around a year after the PC release. It is still the same version, online only and you play with the PC, xbox, players. They just mentioned all the systems on but the news overall will be the same, just updates.

This became true about two years ago. The game has been out for over half a decade now and millions of players have stopped playing now. As much as I love the game (in fact it is the most fun I've ever had in a game) I wouldn't recommend getting it now. It's to far into its life and doesn't have enough time left.


I'm disappointed with the fact that most their focus is on handheld games. I'm just not to into em...
