Crystal Defenders has appeared on pretty much every platform aside from the DS. So when we heard that Square Enix was bringing a strategy title to the platform, we immediately pictured a version of the ubiquitous tower defense game using stylus controls.

Instead, DS players can look forward to something with a slightly more difficult name. Square Enix announced over the weekend plans to bring Kuni Yaburete Sanga Ari to DSiWare. The title appears to have the English name "Hills and Rivers Remain" (this is the English text that's listed below the Japanese logo).

Kuni Yaburete Sanga Ari was originally released to Japan as a cell phone game this past May. The game offers simple real time strategy set against a dramatic storyline. The DSiWare version promises some exclusive bonus features, including full stylus controls and four player wireless play over exclusive maps.

The exclusives had better be in there, as Square Enix is asking 800 DSiPoints for the game, putting it towards the higher range of DSiWare titles.

The tiny screenshot looks rather impressive for a DSiware title. I quite enjoy real time strategies on the DS, and coupled with Dragon Quest Wars, this is really intriguing me. Unfortunately, I have no plans to buy a DSi.

I feel the same as Stella - I'd look into this, but I don't have a DSi. I'm sure I'll have to buy one in the future, though.

I think it looks pretty good but unfortunately im not sure if Im going to even get a dsi. It looks like a wate of money to me but then again I can be wrong. Whats this about?
