Squalls Ring GF (Challenge)

If you want to see the theories of Rinoa=Ultimecia, go to RINOA TO ULTIMECIA thread in Main Series-->Final Fantasy VIII ;)

You can put the name of the GF (the original is GRIEVER) cuz Ultimecia in the final battle will summon it with the name you've putted.

And that makes you think about what she has that name and monster...And all the theories begins...
 
heres a theory

maybe when ultimecia dies she gives edea the griever ring and then squall gains the ring but ultimecia has it in her time and can use it as a GF possibly through being a sorceress
 
Mmm, it's a very good theory, I've never think on it!
But....Squall said in the game that the ring was a jewel of his "unknowed" family :(

Rinoa gives him the ring later? ....i don't remember...when?:(

You cant go through the entire game without using it once i think......im pretty sure there is one part of the game where you have no choice if i recall.....but anyways this theory is false as i had all the cheats and never used the gfs if i can recall.......except the one time i was forced i believe....i could be wrong though lol
 
Rinoa never gives him the ring back, she offers to at Edea's house, but he tells her to keep it, I'd try this, but i love my GFs way too much to go through the game without them

Agreed...thats absolute rubbish what your mate is feeding you...theres just no possible way you can get onto the 4th disc without using or junctioning a gf its just impossible..

As much as i would like to believe it, i think Griever would make THE best GF, i don't think you can. It doesn't come up anywhere, in any strategy guides, the game doesn't hint at it and Ultimecia would never fuse with him to become a version of the final boss at the end of the game. His special power would be shockwave pulsar though and Quistis already has this as a special attack doesn't she?

I have never heard of that happening before, I think it would be completely made up. It's weird that you get to name the ring in the first place but I doubt you could summon it. I don't think I would be able to go through out the whole game not using any Guardian Forces, it might get a bit tough! :P

I don't think I will be testing that out anytime soon!
 
me either...imagine actually trying it and gettin to the end of the game ( even tho its impossible) and nothing happens...you really would feel like a twat...
 
shouldnt be hard gf suck ass seriously i would have no problem not using them ill try it k (except for doom train hes the best summon in ANY final fanatasy inp)

Yeah, I’ve heard a lot of false claims over the years about this one, even several people requesting cheat codes for making him junctionable as a GF, but I can assure you, it’s NOT true nor is it possible…

Actually, Griever’s just a glorified monster as far as the games concerned and a GF in storyline only.
 
You do not get greiver. it is a lie, but when you name the ring you name the summon that ultimicia uses. I named the ring "dog", and un the end ultimicia summoned it as "dog".
