What would have happened if the villains had killed the protagonists in X?

There are some interesting concepts of afterlife in X, so I thought I'd ask.

Personally I think that, unless the heroes are sent, they'd start to become like Seymour and Yunalesca. But then again, you've got the whole confusion of Auron being dead and Tidus being a dream.

If I'm misunderstanding something, let me know.......

Whats confusing about Auron being dead?

He died and but remained on Spira due to the strength of his promise to Jecht and Braska,
just because most of the other examples of Unsent people remaining on Spira after death
are connected with negative origins Seymour, Mika..........there not the only examples of the Unsent remaining take for example Lady Belgemine, if thats her name, she was Unsent but her devotion was based on wanting to help summoners, Lord Jyscal is another example of good will overcoming death vs Evil will.

So the there is no recognizable difference in the will of these people by any kind off grand law of the Dead or anything of the sort, the simple and pure fact is that if you have a strong enough connection you can remain behind on Spira for upto 50 years, if you assume the actual death of Mika occurred 50 years prior?

But if you want a personal account of each character and whether they would remain behind or details of there motivation then lets have at it........

Tidus: Given his unnatural state Its more than possible he could have have just been sent back to Zanarkand to live his life over. Tidus could be an exception to death in Spira.

Yuna: I think would be torn between wanting to save the people of Spira and destroy Sin versus allowing herself to Die and follow the natural order,Yuna I think is not the type to flirt with such ideas as life after Death. I could go into how she could react at the points outlined by Czen in his OP, but nah........

Auron: What happens to a dead man when he is killed again? He could manifest himself as himself again or simply exist as an energy being with out form? Who knows.

Wakka:Well if he were to die after being defeated by Yunalesca fresh from having his world crumble around him with the revelations of Yevon coupled with the fact he had just died............he would succumb to despair and maybe become a fiend without a sending.

Lulu: Who knows how strongly she believed in Yevon, certainly not as deeply as Wakka to bare such remorse? I think she would find the strength to remain in the world.

Khimari: I have no insight into how the is Guy would react to death? the Ronso are Pious but Khimari had existed outside of his tribe for 10 years, still around Yevonites but not necessarily in the religion. He also had a strong Connection to Yuna so I suspect he would choose to live based on her reaction. Or except death to be with his Ronso brethren. Not on the best of Terms with them he is still a Ronso and we know nothing of there death rites?

Rikku:The ever cheerful and effervescent Rikku..........Again based on the reactions of Yuna she would like choose to keep protecting her cousin,personally though she has "mixed" ideas about life after death...........If you see her convo with Tidus in Guadosalam she speaks of having much to live for, Rikku is still only young though I wonder if she could stay on Spira given her age.

But if you want to know the physical aspects of what would happen when they die and force them selves to keep going? Why would there be any difference between these guys and other people fending of death with strong desire, besides Auron and Tidus obviously?
