My computer never use to be a little slow, it was always fast and I didn't install that many programs yet it is still slow. I like to think it is the memory but I believe I have too many programs on, not it was problem before but seriously I may not have that big of a computer however it was fast before. Do you know of any methods of speeding my computer up?

De-fragging the hard drive is always a good place to start, and do a drive clean-up too. It may take your computer a while to process it all but it usually makes a significant difference. Failing that: get new RAM.

A couple of things you can do is to disable start up programs that don't need to load on startup, start>run>msconfig look for the startup tab and disable anything that you don't think is important, just leave enabled any driver devices and anti virus. Second is to go to start>run>services.msc and disable any services you don't need, and things your not sure about, set to manual.

RAM upgrade could help out as well. Depending on what you currently have, it usually is a fairly cheap way to boost your speed as well. The real question is though, what do you use your computer for? Gaming? Music? Photo's? Storage?
