I was speaking to @Dyranda regarding the SOTW themes. We currently have it set so that the themes are uploaded in batches of 4, the first of those 4 always being a Freestyle themed week. This makes it easier to make your entries in advance to send them in, if you prefer. The other weeks are completely random. A good suggestion she made, that I feel like I should toss in with you guys was the following:

Theme 1: Freestyle
Theme 2: Random (as per usual)
Theme 3: Preset Render
Theme 4: Random (as per usual)

Meaning that there will always be "two standard" themes in SOTW. What do you guys think of having one preset render in every batch of themes? Do you guys enjoy the preset renders? Or would you much rather have 3 random themes every time the guidelines are posted?

So, let's get some discussion going here. Let me know what you guys think, no matter how small the opinion, it's valued.

I enjoy present renders a lot! having to work with something that's already picked for me saves me way too much time, and challenges me to make something creative out of it! so I vote for making it a standard theme! thank you for all your hard work :')

Let me break it down... :wacky: Right now, SOTW consists of 1 freestyle week (the first week) and three random themes, my question was... Would you guys like a standard Freestyle ALONG with a standard Preset render theme, and then two random themes?

I'm confused... Is it not currently freestyle and then three renders? What's the difference o.0

Our typical SOTW guidelines are as follows:

Week 1 is standard freestyle theme, weeks 2, 3 and 4 are random themes chosen by me. They're not always preset renders. Sometimes it's "Final Fantasy XIV", or "Tomb Raider" or "Black and White" etc, I was wondering if you guys would also like a standard preset render theme in our guidelines. Meaning there will only be two weeks where I pick random themes, 1 week is standard freestyle, and 1 week will be a standard preset render.

I hope that clears it up a bit more. If it's still too confusing I will stick with our current rotation.

Guidelines 164-167 have been posted a day early. I won't have a whole lot of time tomorrow. I'll toss the voting thread for SOTW 163 up tomorrow. If you haven't entered yet and you would like to, you guys are free to submit for at least another 12 hours still!
 
Note:

Entries must be submitted by Friday (midnight) -- Saturday (midnight) for the Aussies out there. randomrosso ;)
 
A bit late but I'm content with 1 set render. Though I'd say better renders will get more entries than tougher renders. I know I didn't enter one cause I was tired from work and didn't feel like thinking too much. :P

It doesn't go up at 8:30AM my time, :brooding: ....and because... I fell asleep. I'm 9 hours late now. Sorry, guys! My bad.
 
Just was notified that the thread looks empty for the SOTW themes? o_o Uhm... Just in case anyone else has the issue, here's the themes.

Please let me know if this issue keeps up.

SOTW theme: ANIME has been extended for 12 hours (as of this post). Entries must be in before midnight (GMT+1).
