Does anyone have any really creative suggestions for upcoming SOTW's? I was thinking maybe something 'summer' themed, or 'beach'? Something like that?

And I did several different things actually
I duplicated the stock itself, then smudged it (behind the main stock of Dante), then smudged the background itself (I love smudging >_>), then a color balance layer or two, and then I threw some elements of a couple of renders in there for good measure xDEidolon

What kind of smudge brush do you use? Or is it a secret?
*roffle* No, no secret xD All I did was take the type tool, and type out either a capital X or a big '+' and defined it as a brush ^o^

There has been long since that SotW,but I didn't know that this sig had won too.I have to say that actually this was my creation for another SotW in another forum before this one.Maybe Shion made a mistake but if you don't believe me you can check that forum and see and the date.

Edit: I re-labeled it in the list on the first page of this thread, and I'm now going to my photobucket account and am relabeling it. The file name will still say 'sapphire star' but the label will say your name and everything in there, and eventually I'll change the file name xo

Is it just me or is this week's SOTW a bit late?
We've extended it due to lack of entries til Wednesday :/ There's just not a lot of participation recently ;-;
