He's developed this excruciatingly annoying habit of coming into my room when he gets off work, sitting his fat ass down on my bed and talking to me about his work day. I don't know why he thinks I care. It's kind of like how he'll randomly inform me of what he's had for lunch. He also likes to bug me about how my day at school was, which I find annoying as well. I'm doing fine in everything except English, but school sux cawk and when I come home I don't want to think about it or talk about it.

tl:dr stupid old bastard needs to leave me alone :neomon:

HE JUST WANTS TO HAVE A NICE CONVERSATION WITH YOU. HE WANTS TO SHOW THAT ERM...WELL..

he just wants to be nice? D:
Dude, it's what parents do :wacky:

Not when he does it every fucking day. He should find a buddy to talk to about it, I couldn't give a shit.

Awhhh ahah

Your dad probably just still wants to connect with you, like he maybe wants you to open up to him about your day just so the connection between father and son isn't lost yano?

Or maybe he just wants to be matey with you aha, my dad can't be bothered to phone me up half the time so I guess you could count yourself lucky ^^

But I get you, parents can be a little too annoying sometimes aha, talking about things you really don't care about.

Bleh, I get annoyed when my parents talk to me when I come home from school. I just want to go to my room and have some peace! But nooo, my mum has to come in and start asking me about school, and when I shrug and say 'meh..', she's all 'zomg are you getting bullied!? What's wrongggggggggg?' and i'm thinking 'Nooooooothing i just want peeaace!!' D=

my mum always rings me and iv no idea why sometimes

she even texts me telling me to ring her :monster:

We didn't even HAVE a connection until I decided to go back to college. Now he's all proud of me or some shit and he's trying to buddy up to me. And he TEXTS me......so...... *facepalm*

I get that "whats wrooong" line from both my mom and my dad. Naturally they don't get an answer.

Slowly but surely, my mother is getting the hint that I don't like talking. It's a shame really, because I don't mind her so much since she's the one who looks after me.

Any decent relationship I had with my dad was lost years ago, and I don't give a fuck. He's just useful for keeping the car going. :neomon:

My parents are very VERY slow when it comes to hints. Apparently me not talking is a sign to them that they should talk twice as much to make up for my silence.

havent spoken to mine for a few years, thats how good i am at keeping up with the 'rents :wacky:

Oh I can guarantee that once I moved out I'd never speak with my parents unless they called me or something :wacky:

Aww. He loves ya'. xD

I remember that my husband's uncle was kinda like the same. All he did was talk, talk, talk, especially things that don't really matter.

So what we usually do is sit there, look at him with one of our elbow resting on a chair's arm, our fingers massaging our temple.

Now, he never exactly got the hint, (or probably chose to ignore it) but it may work with your dad...?

Or you could just sit there and actually converse with him. Can't be that bad. xD

Same. :monster: If I'm ever quiet or just not smiling then they assume that I'm depressed or hiding something. Which is why I never show when I really AM in a bad mood, or talk to them about anything emotion-wise for that matter. Geez, I skipped dessert once and now they think I'm anorexic. -_-

i actually had a big fall out with my dad when i was 17, iv seen him all f 4 times since :wacky:

tis all good really, saves me money on fathersw day :monster:

That wouldn't work with my dad. I'm pretty sure not looking at him and posting on here is a much better hint, and he can't even catch onto that. Took him nearly 10 minutes to leave the room.

LAWL. My dad thinks I'm anorexic cuz I hardly eat. I'm not anorexic, I'm just a cheap bastard and the food we have at home is healthy shit my mom buys.

I suppose I'll be the same. I'd move out tomorrow if I could afford it.

Rofl.

MOVE OUT!!!! :monster:

or put a lock on ya door

Would that I could move out, but I can't. I'm dependent on the fucks for my health insurance, and it's nigh impossible to get a job with health insurance unless you have a college degree. So I'm stuck.
