I was looking at new PCs earlier since my laptop is slowly dying, and I saw one which sounded great on paper but I'm not sure if it's worth the price...I have about an £800 limit.

Memory - 3GB (alot of the others in the shops had 1 or 2 on them...laptops had 216/512)
Hard Drive - 700GB
Price - £700

I don't know much about PCs, but it sounds pretty good...I could (And probably am) be wrong though xD

That sounds pretty good to me. I don't know what the euro(that is what it is right?) to dollar ratio is though. Do you know anything else about the computer, like the processor and video card?

Confirm please, is this PC you're looking at a laptop or a desktop? Because if it's a laptop, Jesus tapdancing Christ it has an insane amount of HD space. Either way 700 gigs is quite impressive. The memory isn't too shabby either.

It's nearly $1400 in US dollars though...so um, moar details plx? Like graphics card and whatever other specs there are? It might not be worth what they're selling it for and you could find a better deal on it elsewhere, or a better comp for the same price.

That and ask F. F. Fan about it :wacky:

Oh it's a desktop, I point blank refuse to get another laptop. I have no idea about the graphics card or anything, it just said "Can handle powerful programs with ease | great for gaming | Fast and powerful"

It's not really the price I'm fussed on, rather whether the PC's good or not

Smart boy *pats* Laptops can be a bitch, especially once the battery fails and won't hold a charge. I can unplug my HP laptop, and immediately its battery life will be down to 97%

Can handle powerful programs? xD Wow, that's a pretty subjective thing to write for it.

Yeah, best find out the rest of the specs for it, cuz I know $1400 in the US is pretty steep for a comp and it had better be damn good.

We paid £500 for ours that has 1 tb HDD, 3 gb RAM and a fucking shit hot GFX card. With a processor to make sure it all goes smoothly.
I'd actually use it if it didn't have Vista.
