Wow, the past three days have been bad. Got bombarded with snow, power just came back on a little bit ago, and its freezing.

Anyone else on the east coast get smashed with the storm?

Indeed I have. Worst storm in Maryland in the last 30 years, supposedly. We got school off on Friday, but only today have they finally managed to clear the roads. We're pretty much certain school will be open tomorrow.

Up here in New York we got nothing. Our winter has been absolutely snowless.

you're definitely lucky Icarus. My college actually canceled classes tomorrow. Which is nice because since I didnt have power, I couldnt charge my laptop to study for an exam tuesday. Not fun.

I'm in a different country but I've been snowed it a fair few times, not in the house itself but the local area. I ended up missing a good 4/5 days of college at the beginning of the year due to snow then the odd day after that. I've always loved the thought of being snowed into the actual house but I'd get bored easily so yeah not a good idea >.>

I'm snowed in as well. DC metro Area... We are set to get 10-20 more inches as well. Just heard that from DC101 :gonk: Adamant... you might not have school tomorrow... my brother has already heard he's off tomorrow and Wednesday :hmmm: It's gonna be hell for my parents... My mom works in a grocery store and my dad is plowing... my mom says her store is a madhouse atm... I don't get people... they are like stocking up like they are gonna be trapped in their houses for the next year... It's like... Snow melts people >.>

ugh, looks like we are getting another 6-12 inches as well in PA for tuesday and wednesday. Sucks.

Yeah. We're getting another big snowstorm tomorrow night. Gonna be the worst winter in the history of the Philadelphia area apparently.

The only good thing is that I get some time to try to beat FFIV and FFVI. Other than that, I hate being snowed in, even if it means going to school.

Here in Connecticut, we're pretty familiar with snow and we tend to get a fair amount every year, so it's not too big of a deal. But we have like a foot of snow coming this afternoon, which is more than we get in a typical snow storm. Some of the facilities we do work for are closed today, and they planned this yesterday when we didn't have any snow yet. Needless to say, we're pretty worried around here from the snowfall we're expecting.

Personally, I need to see it to believe it. We get threats of inclimate weather all the time and a lot of times it passes us by. We have some snow already this morning, but I'm still skeptical of a foot of snow. But if it happens, we'll be hurting, but we'll be over it by tomorrow. I may even have to leave work early if the snowing does get that heavy as the day goes on.

They closed school for today DURING SCHOOL yesterday. Before it even started snowing. I couldn't help but wonder what would happen should we get little to no snow...

But we're getting snow. School is closed for tomorrow as well. I'm hungry and bored. I might go read a book... wow. Can't believe I just wrote that.

No snow here though, it's suppose to sleet here, tomorrow :hmmm: Being in Texas, I wish it would snow here we never get nothing but maybe some ice :rage: but ice is no fun! Snow is :) you can actually have snowball fights an' whatnot :monster:

Haha, it's funny, people of the south want to see snow because they never get any, when all of us in the north bitch about having snow and would be happy to never see snow again. :ryan: I wish I could be in Texas to get away from the snow. :mokken:

I mentioned that we were supposed to get a foot of snow or better. Well, like usual, it was all hype. :mokken: We're lucky we got 5 inches of snow, a dusting by our standards. I am glad that's all we got though, I'm done with snow for this year, and this will melt away fairly quickly with some sun. It is odd though that areas south of us got a lot more snow than us, but I'm good with that. :mokken:

In Maryland,I also got snowed in as well. Believe me it is not something I am adjusted to on a normal basis. Nearly 3ft of snow total within a week is not fun. Today was actually my first time going out since last Friday
