I know compared to some of the more modern FF games this game didn't have very many sidequests overall. Did you complete them all or leave some of them unfinished?

I'm pretty sure I completed all of them except the Pink Puffs/Pink Tail sidequest. Just the annoyingly low encounter rate for pink puffs and also the annoyingly low drop rate for the pink tail kind of turned me off. I did run around in the room for about fifteen minutes hoping to encounter one but it got old quickly. :lew:

My favorite sidequest was collecting the summons. I guess they can be looked on as separate sidequests but I enjoyed them. The sylph cave was a bit irritating with the floors and that stupid toad lady. >.>

And after all that, I didn't even use Sylph once. :8F:

I doubt many people have done the Pink Tail thing...

Apart from that I did everything the SNES one had to offer. For the GBA one I collected all Grimoires, extra weapons like Lightbringer and defeated Zeromus EG and Brachioraidos, so pretty much everything for that too. I have to say Lunar Ruins was one of the best sidequests ever in all FF's, I especially like Yang's one.

I also bothered to collect some rare items (excluding the Pink bloody Tail) like the Medusa Sword.

Haven't got the DS one so I haven't played any of the DS-exclusive sidequests (if there are any?).

In my only run through the game, the Pink Tail was the only one I didn't do. Getting all the summons wasn't too bad overall. The Cave of Summons was a fairly annoying place with its enemies though. But considering the award, it was certainly worth it. The toughest thing in FFIV was getting all the Moon Core's weapons and armor. Some of those enemies were such a pain in the ass. Plague, do not like. :hmph:

So far I've only completed the SNES version. I'm fairly certain the PS version doesn't have any exclusive side quests either.

I'll be buying the GBA version soon as I've heard there's quite a bit of added content. I'm really excited about the Lunar Ruins sidequest. xD

Holy beans, Lunar Ruins. Kain's subquest? Aarrurugrhrghh. Beautiful.

I gave up on the pink tail, too. I actually really enjoyed the Cave of Summoned monsters. It was my first RPG, and it was my first serious sidequest. I was still under 12 when I played it, and it made me fell like such a little RPG discoverer. That made getting to the village all the more rewarding, so that I even went through and looked at all the library books. In fact, I have to say that arriving at the hidden town is one of my warmest gaming memories...if gaming memories can be warm.
