Shoutbox Stat

This isn't anything serious but it's bugging me because it doesn't make sense.

I noticed earlier in the day that my stats at the top of the forum page said I had:

You have 6 shouts in the Shoutbox.

Just a second ago I looked at it again and it said:

You have 10 shouts in the Shoutbox.

But I've not been in the Shoutbox in ages. And by ages, I mean as in weeks, months possibly. I don't get it?

Have you sent / received 4 PMs or mentioned / been mentioned 4 times (or a combination of the above) perchance?

From what I gather, they are just notifications. Like somebody would quote you, or if you would quote somebody. They count as shouts in the "notifications area"

No PM's either way, but I had one mention and I quoted three people on the same day, so that's probably what it is then. >.<
