i hear it is impossible to beat him without upgrading are thoes people noobs ar is it auctually impossible thanks.
 
Uhh no this is not about FFX-2, it is about FFX.
Shinryu is in the monster arena and NSG stands for no sphere grid.

Anyway I doubt it is impossible but you'll need to use rikku's mix and use abilities.

Uh,sorry. Geez, maybe if he worded it right people would understand.
 
It is impossible. I tried (although that doesn't really matter) I've tried more than 15 times and I can't live through Shining. It does more than 10000 damage because of the characters low defense.
 
There is a thing called auto-life, so that solves it :D Didn't have much trouble with him myself, lost once just to see his moves and prepare the strategy :D and then I got him :D
 
yeah the problem seemes to be his eraser move because you need 3 charaters to stand a chance because of you low speed.
 
Based on anecdotal evidence from a FAQ, a person did manage to beat NSG Shinryu and he/she mentioned something about having to carry a sh*tload of ingredients for Trio of 9999/Hyper Mighty G and it requiring a lot of luck. Judging from the person's tone, this is a totally different league than that of IX's Ozma.

yeah i know. but the wierd thing is that i cant find a video of it anywhere. ive tried youtube soo many times. all i get is videos of people who have tried and failed lol.
 
If it was impossible they wouldn't have put it in the game. It's as simple as that, but I recommend getting your stats up a bit higher so that you aren't too weak to do it.
 
ha i have already beaten the fight literally about 100 times. (for break hp limit)


but the thing is beating it without upgrading(at all). its a totally different story
