i've been really looking forward to this pretty much since the day i saw the first. i've been left a tad disappointed.
it isn't a bad film by any means, but it suffers in the same way that the matrix sequels do. it'll forever be compared to the first film, and it definitely isn't as good as that. i think because you've already seen the first, and you know how the whole process of holmes' mind works you're expecting surprises and interesting little things at every moment.
i definitely think there'll be a third.

i'll be very surprised if irene addler is actually dead. i thought the way she died was a bit too sudden and unimpressive for someone who was such a big chracter beforehand, and for someone who is supposed to be an intelligent master thief like her.
