Sephiroths Crater in Final Fantasy 8?

its meant to be there, its a side quest for the rarest card in the game, called pupu who is an alien. you have to do a fair bit of crap to get it though. I never did.
 
Like other's have said,it's from the past Lunar Cry. Im pretty sure it says something about it somewhere in FFVIII. And Nida,like someone else mentioned, talks about how "the guage is going berserk". I always figured that was a reference to the monsters around that area. I would assume alot of the monsters stayed there even though that Lunar Cry happened before the game.

It has nothing to do with Sephiroth. ;p
 
I got the Pupu card and I'm pretty sure you find him in the Balamb garden crater, not this odd, only-have-a-tiny-bit-of-information-about-it crater.

I'm still adamant it's from the past Lunar Cry. I still haven't had the time to look it up though. Though really, they could at least have done something interesting with it... I mean... <_< Why the fuck can't you fly over it, is the bigger question. XD
