You know... It's really not hard to find wood.

I believe I've found at least 40 in battles, total. The Antlions and Ahrimans drop them pretty often.
 
I believe u can find wood in Midgar but 40 is a gd Price any1 wants wood I'll give it 4 free but I only have 3 coz I'm more interested in the Lig steel and the mithrils
 
Cloud where do you find Lig Steel I can't find any monster that drops it and I have never seen a piece of it before. It's prolly after you beat the Ice Golem and in that case I'm screwed...
 
I believe you can buy it in Cadoan. That is the best way to get it.

On topic: I don't think the trade center is working yet, so you can't sell ot trade items yet. Until then, your stuck.
 
Supernova did u read wat we just wrote? bcoz I'm sure it was about that u can't have a piece of wood till ZT fix the Trade Center

It's about 1,800 per piece.

Also, you have a long way to go before you get to cadoan.

Until the trade center is fixed, You cannot trade items, so just wait. And don't ask when it will be done, because I do not know.
 
Early creatures drop it fairly often, with Iron and Diamonds coming soon after.

Don't worry much about buying, since it'll be outdated by then, anyway.

...

Of course, if the Trade Center was up and running, I'd probably say something different. :P
