I'm not talking about some of these crap ass spin offs of the original title (With the exception of Secret of Mana 2..that was fun)

I'm talking about the total and utter pwnage that is Secret of freaking MANA.

Thanatos and his creepy boss music, the enthralling final boss fight music, amazingly addictive, but not to utterly repetitive game play. The adorable characters, touching storyline, and incredibly sad ending(Which really made it sad..was the freaking music)

I mean, who doesn't love it?! I LOOOVE this game.

Even though, it could be considered outdated, this game has for a very long time been my absolute favorite game of all time, hands down. I'm 21 years old now, have played some pretty cool games over the years, and still absolutely adore this title. I even still play it, and beat it from time to time.

*sighs* I was 5 years old when I first played this game..Flammie was the first dragon I'd ever seen, what was better..I could fly on him too! It was also the first video game I had ever played. My Grandma had gotten an early release copy (Still dunno how XD). I learned how to read playing video games, specifically RPGs, owned many awards I got when in school to RPG's, and Secret of Mana was what started it all for me...

A lot of centimental value..and will always have a special place in my heart.

One of my dreams, is to see Secret of Mana remade (Like they seem to be making a TON of Final Fantasy Remakes..Even some of the lesser popular ones)

~:Disclaimer:~
Now before some so called "die hard" fan boy/girl TRIES to bite my head off for not mentioning it before, YES I'm AWARE there was technically a Secret of Mana game BEFORE the American SNES Version. HOWEVER, as any "fan" would know, it was RELEASED as Final Fantasy Adventure on the Gameboy. So BITE ME.

I have to make this disclaimer these days, or people ASSUME I'm stupid, or just some one hit fan and chose to flame me because of thier own insecurities.

I loved secret of mana. So saaaad in parts. First RPG I completed ever. I have real fond memories of it. Going to the witches house at the start and getting killed by her fire tiger annoyed me so much haha

Secret of Mana is a wonderful game. I love the characters and the summons on there. It is also very sad in certain parts. I love the way you travel on there with Flammie. Although it ALWAYS takes me forever to find the Gold Island. I fly all over the water looking for it. Just talking about it now makes me to want to put it in my SNES and play it. I really need to replay it. And I always name the characters on there the names that they had in Japan.

I remember when I first saw this game at the store. I saw there was a girl on the front of it and just had to have it since I figured you could play as a girl! And I was very happy to learn that I was right. haha.

This game is definitely one of my top 10 favorite games.

This is one of my favorite RPGs of all time. I really liked the story and the battle system. Though it wasn't until near the end of the game that I realized that you could control how aggressive or defensive your other two characters were <.<.

This was probably the first game that ever made me cry. The part with girl and Dyluck as well as the end always make me teary. And I still get it's main theme stuck in my head XD

I absolutely love this game :x3: It was one of the first RPGs I played too, and the music and the world were incredibly immersive. I remember actually holding a little tape recorder up to my TV to get some of the songs on tape so I could listen to them all the time xD I just love how nature-heavy the setting is--despite the fact that the world is in danger and you have to fight monsters all the time, somehow it's a lot more peaceful than some of the more industrialized or urban settings of other games, like FFXII or FFVIII for example. I loved climbing the Lofty Mountains to see Joch, the Ice Country that led up to the Ice Palace, and of course the Pure Land (except for the Griffin Claws that would pwn you from out of nowhere :jtc:). It's a really aesthetically pleasing game, and the different special attacks you could do with the weapons at different levels were awesome too :D Sometimes the attack vs. defense settings for the alternate characters were kind of frustrating, if I was trying to level up my lead character's weapons and they'd kill everything before I got a chance, but after a while I figured out how to reset their parameters so that they would stay idle and that worked a lot better :griin:

All in all, a fantastic game. And I agree, it should definitely be remade--if not for us longtime fans to be able to see it with updated graphics, then at least to bring this amazing story to the attention of new gamers who might not think to look back to the SNES for an amazing new game to play, or might have trouble getting a hold of it.

I borrowed this game from a friend and right now I'm going into the Palace of Darkness. I haven't been playing it much lately, but I've made a little progress. Multiplayer is SO much fun that you lose track of time and stay up untill 4 in the morning playing. XD
Everyone keeps saying that it has a sad ending. I hope it isn't as sad as the end of Mother 3. ;_;
