Serious Scarred for life.

Well I'm not into hitting people unless they really piss me off on a major scale, and carrying a knife in a small town like this would be suspicious, and I could probably take out my eye because I'm a klutz. but my best friend is the daughter of a police sarge, I'm sure they can hook me up with pepper spray.

I talked to my old english teacher, it turns out she had gone through something just like that when she was my age, only the men broke into her house, stole a video camera that had tapes of her and her sister on vacation, and then they stalked her. So i didn't get it bad at all... but--I hate to say this--I'm and emotionally fragile person. Does that sound lame? I held this in for days and it's killing me.

When I first told my teacher I had to talk to her and she asked me if I was okay, I said "Not really." And she had to talk to me the next day. She asked me if I was pregnant. O_O Because that's something you ask dead on....

I ended up crying for an hour straight at my counselor's office, I felt like my eyes were going to fall out of their sockets -_- My guidance counselor called in a policeman who I talked to. Without names it was going to be hard to really track them down, I know that, but at least they're documenting it in case someone else goes through something similar. So at least I gave a helping hand, right?
I went back to the station with my mom, who was partially mad at me because I didn't tell her. Hmph, sorry but it's hard to tell my mom anything because all she talks about is my older brother.

They told me to keep an eye out for myself too. I know he's a policeman and all, but I prefer the words you guys gave me here than over at the station :P

Yes! If this were to happen again to someone else, and they could tie the two things together, it would help get the idiots in more trouble. And generally, criminals tend to start small and work their way up to bigger and badder crimes, especially those who commit crimes against women (stalking, assault, etc.). So if you can catch them now, before it gets really bad, who knows how many people you'll have helped out.

I'm seeing a lot of self defense suggestions in this thread. Don't bother.

Males are significantly stronger than females. A fully grown man is incredibly stoic when compared to the constitution of a female or adolescent male. I'm a boxer and I lift weights. If a male kicks me in the nuts it'll hurt but I can shrug it off, let alone a female. Sometimes technique just won't save you. You need power.

Don't take it there because they'll have an excuse to get physical. Unless you're going to learn fighting techniques extensively there's little to no benefit in doing so.
It isn't just the physical part of self-defense that makes it worth it, it's knowing that you can do something other than be scared and helpless. You don't just need power, you need a plan.

You don't always have to fight back either. There are other ways of throwing your attackers off guard, male or female. Making yourself throw up or 'pass out', feigning sickness, heart attack, seizure or anything that they might not have any control over can work just as effectively and will really go to show just how serious they might be.

While these are all just suggestions, having a plan in place--no matter what that is--having ideas in your head is the best thing to do. Sure, maybe a lot of guys are stronger than girls, but that doesn't mean we still can't take you down or stab you or put our thumbs in your eye sockets or crush your throat or your nuts or kick a leg sideways or not know how to get out of certain holds. Girls really have an advantage in a society who embraces the idea that women are simply helpless creatures who cannot defend themselves. When that mindset comes into play it can work highly in our benefit.

It's a good thing you told them about it, that'd be a great help overall. Sure you may not think it was much but it's better than the fact they had nothing, as Jesse stated if it happens to someone else then they'll already have the information from you.

I wouldn't recommend taking weapons around with you, that seems a little extreme, although mace could be a good alternative or taking up self defence lessons as has been discussed.

It's a shame people feel the need to act ways like this nowadays, it really makes you lose your faith in humanity sometimes. :hmmm:

Guys like that give the rest of us a bad name. I hope they get kicked in the balls in the very near future. Just know that those three are douchenozzles, and the majority of us aren't like that, honestly.

That being said, I agree with Josh, if you think talking to someone might help. Also, if you want to feel some practical security, maybe look into taking a self-defense class? Just a thought.

Yeah, I completely agree with you. Thanks to those kind of douchbags, us good guys are having a hard time. Those morons shouldn't even exist and yet, it is sad to see some girls fall for that kind of people, honestly. But meh, that's how society works.

I am also sick and tired of these douches who also hit on anything who wears a skirt, even in online games and they just take the liberty to just call a girl who they barely know stuff like "hey baby, or sweety"...seriously. But again, we could also blame some girls who don't set the game rules right from the start and allow all of this.

ARGH! We really don't need these kind of men in society, what good are they for? Actually for nothing.
