Just a quickie: Can you save a FFIX game on PS2 memory cards? I got the europe version if that matters!

Thank you :)

You should be able to... im not really for sure about that though because i haven't actually played ps2 in so long. But anyways... yeah... im almost positive that you should be able to

No, you have to have a ps1 memory card to save any ps1 games, even if you have a ps2 memory card

Officially, I do not believe that you can save PSX games onto a PS2 memory card, even if you are playing it on a PS2. I have yet to confirm this myself, but it seems that you would need a separate PSX Memory card to save your data.

Nope, only PS1 memory cards work. FFIX isn't compatible to work with the PS2 one.

This is all true.

BUT, you can use the larger PS2 memory cards to 'store' PSone saved files. So my PS1 card is full, so i copied some save files onto my ps2 card, so i have some space without deleting them. however be careful if transfering them back!!!! I once did that with VIII, and in the save options menu, they assume FFVIII character faces, but if you copy (say an Irvine file) over to the ps1 card which also has an irvine file, you'll have to either overwrite it i think! :gonk: This is what happened to me one time.

Hope that is useful.
