Save To Replay

Have you guys ever been playing one of your FF games and thought that a certain point was so epic or memorable that you created a seperate save file so you could go back and relive that moment whenever you wanted?

I just did this the other day when i was about to fight Yunalesca. I thought that whole fifteen minute convo and the fight itself was one of the best parts of the game.

I've always thought, ooh I wish Id made a seperate save so I can watch that again, and I do it everytime, but no, I never do. I'd only end up killing the scene repaying it over and over again, it's summat to look forward to the next playthrough. I'd just kill it off like I do with overplaying songs

I've never saved a second file on any Final Fantasy. I never really saw the point, but I have started a game again just to re-experience whatever it was which I wanted to see. I know it's the long way of doing it, but that way I get to see it all at once. I think I've always loved going back to FFX for that reason, and yes, that scene is pretty awesome.

I've actually done that only once with FFXIII - saving onto a second slot just as I regained control in Eden - so I can rewatch that infamous CGI cutscene of the assault on Eden. I just saw that cutscene as being the one best thing about FFXIII as up to that point, I had long become a bit underwhelmed at the game.

Seeing as I have no intentions of playing FFXIII again (probably ever), I can watch that scene over and over again without worrying about it losing its appeal when I get to it again. :dave:

I did that with a bunch of cut scenes when I played VII back in the day. But these days . . . youtube provides me with everything that a ps memorycard couldn't.

The only one i can think of and its not really b/c of it being my favorite scene quite the opposite actually lol. But in FFIX, being my favorite i've played it the most i made sure the second time i played to save an extra spot right after the Regent cid minigame with the hedgehog pie. I would get so pissed of at that game lol so now ill just play up the that part then played the rest of he way through without having to play the only minigame FFIX could have done without lol.

Hmmm, naaah I don't think I have. I mean, like that one dude (sorry dunno your name) said, youtube could easily let me relive the cutsences. I mean, an seperate one just for a cutsence no. I much rather playthrough the game. I actually try to have one save file idunno it just takes up too much space when I could easily go to youtube.

Yeah, I think I've done that in nearly all of the games, and games that aren't Final Fantasy. One time I did this was before fighting Garland in Final Fantasy IX.
