Were there any parts in an Anime or Manga that made you sad or even cry? I for one do not normally cry whils't watching anything...there are only a few films that have ever made me cry, but only one Anime has succeeded in making me do so and that was Wolf's Rain: Episode 28-29.

Toboe and Quent's Deaths in Wolf's Rain were just to sad. The whole moment of having Toboe (with the rest of his strength) crawl to the old mans side and then to have himself held close was horribly sad. The combonation of the music and the moment were overwhelming and the reaction of the others after both die as well.

There have been many parts in anime/ manga that have made me feel sad or regret (such as favourite characters getting killed) but only that has ever made me cry in an anime.

I'll edit this topic title to say it will contain spoilers, just so people are aware.

As Rasengan pointed out, it was sad when Sandaime, the 3rd Hokage of Konohana died to protect the village. Seriously, when he was defated by the snake guy [I can't believe I've forgotten his name o_O] I nearly welled up.
I also found it sad in Naruto when Saske and Naruto had their big fight. The dialogue just got me going.

The snake guy is orichimaru ^^ there's a lot of sad parts in flashbacks
as well.

Naruto-Gaara childhood flashback{that was really sad and I can't tell is that his uncle or auntie}

The law of Ueki-Robert Haydn flashback-He was deceived by the orphanage owner and all his friends betrayed him and framed him of threatening them to steal food.

Agreed. When you see how similar they are, how lonely they look, it makes your throat burn. I just wanted to hug them to death o_O And whether it's the Auntie/Uncle of Gaara you mean?

Another sad moment in an anime for me was Full Metal Alchemist right near the end, when Al sacrifices himself to save Ed and then vice versa.

Hmm, I haven't exactly cried while watching an anime...I did, however...felt extremely sad and well, satisfied at the same time that I almost cried. =) The animes were Fantastic Children...(towards the ending) and Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien. Extreme drama right there.

One Piece- Nami's past. First time I cried during that series.

I My Me! Strawberry Eggs- The last five minutes always have me in tears.

Grave of the Fireflies- Do I even need to explain?

End of Evangelion- Ritsuko's death. So tragic.

Sailor Moon- Episode 45 everytime a senshi died, and then 46 when Mamoru died.

Fullmetal Episiode 26 (atleast I think it was 26). Hughes' death. I cry everytime I see it v.v

Oh my goodness, that's the saddness anime moment I've ever come across. I find it especially sad when his little daughter asks why their burying daddy, why won't he wake up, and he told me he had work to do! *Sniff* So sad!

Spoiler

In the Naruto manga, when they show panels of Gaara and Naruto. It's starts off by both of them being alone, then it continues, only this time Naruto has one friend and his count keeps growing, but Gaara is still alone.

Then finally when Naruto has a huge group of people surrounding him, he notices that something is wrong and Gaara is still alone. Awwww of course Naruto and his big heart, he goes to find Gaara, afterwhich Gaara realizes that he has people who care about him too....

I cried sooo much because those few panels didn't have any dialogue but they were so powerful...

Spoiler:

The Last Movie Of DBZ. When Goku And Vegeta Are Both Fighting Bei Bei, And They Cant Beat Him, And Vegeta, Dispite Being The Most Tough And Serious Character In The Anime, Starts To Cry! That Made Me Think About How Much Vegeta Has Been Holding Back Since The Start Of DBZ

All Death in anime is sad.
Well, when its a cool character or a hero.

The ending of Chrono Crusade.

Spoiler: Right before Rossette dies, she breaks down and grabs on to Chrono and cries that she wants just a little more time to live. And she never got to spend any time with her brother Joshua and she spent the entire series trying to save him.

Other than it being sad it also had one of the darkest endings I've ever seen.
