Although, i'd recomend being about level 70-80-90 and having a lot of Materia mastered ^_^
 
Well I guess the higher the better, I would say at least 70 ... getting KOTR won't be a bad thing either.
 
It won't hurt taking some time to breed that Gold Chocobo to retrieve the Knights of the Round summon, since you might struggle against the weapons even at high levels.

The mime materia also comes in handy whether or not you have KotR.
 
Could be any level, it really all depends on the materias and strategies you have. There are so many good strategies out there. For instance,

That's crazy though, lol. Anyway, usually if you're mastering materias, you'll level up to 99 in no time.
