Well this idea came out of the sudden while reading the "Era of War" thread (might change that title later, now back on topic).

The idea is simple and could work. Let's say we add a few extra monsters to the already made areas, of course the monsters would have the same level and str, def, mag etc as the monsters of the areas in which they are located, maybe stronger but with no greater LV, just to leave things as unaltered as possible.

Players get fliers about the monsters, what we call "Marks" in FFXII. They read information about the monster such as location, strengths and weaknesses, rewards, etc.

Some of the NPCs could be triggered with Variant Conditions, and Game Variable settings (bad explaining myself). Let's say:

NPC A: "Hey player, I think that NPC B was talking about a little job he needed to be done." Trigger game variant assigned to NPC B


NPC B: "So NPC A told you, well yes, I am in need of some help. You see I need someone to take this monster down, can't do it myself. If you bring proof of defeating it, I'll give you something good."

The rare monsters, like I stated before somewhere, would be normal monsters, the only difference is their low encounter ratio (let's make them really hard to find in battle) and a 100% Component drop.

The component can be either a claw, bone, feather, anything. Also the component will have the same stats of one of the already existing components, or maybe weaker or limited to non attackable items or attackable items, we should think this carefully.

Anyhow, player gets the component and then goes back to NPC B. NPC B is done that players won't get more than one reward. If we make the "reward" convo, we divide it in three fragments, the start of the convo takes the reward away while the end gives it back, so no matter how many times they try they will never get more than one reward.

Reward can be either gil, items or maybe even a spell, I am not sure about spell though.

-Rare Ghouls, zombies, etc.

Maybe this should be connected to Tiel's Red Top Secret plan. I know people are restless for a new area. But we should make these things a huge challenge.
