You mean, a maximum amount of words? Nah. You can post as long as you want. We do have a minimum though, which is pretty self-explanatory.
I think there is a maximum but it's ridiculously high and only ever been met, like, once.
On that subject, there's not really a minimum, either, but you are required to add some form of a line of thought in your posts, particularly in outright discussions.

Well I know forums that have a certain word maximum for post, but due to the fact that I've seen (and posted some myself) really long posts, I haven't found any limit at all.

When I last checked, it was either 20,000 or 200,000. Bare in mind this was around October 2006 and it may well have been removed since then - then again, posts as long as that are unheard of nowadays.

Yeah! That reminds me, I was posting a chapter of my story and had to split it up into 2 posts because it was too long to post the whole thing xD I just don't remember how many words it is. It could have very well been changed by then...
