my sister always goes on about how bad this game is and why she was so bummed when she got it expecting FF on N64. i usually always try games every one says is bad because it makes me more curious about them. so i have been playing it and i can not help it but be thinking maybe my sister is right o.o
there is hardly no story. the camera is bad. there is no where to go but forword and combat is so boring. the battle theme sounds like it is copyed from FF. maybe i just need to play it more? there is no money. nothing to buy and there are like a handful of spells. 5 or 6 i think and you can get all of them early on. as you upgrade them you cast just cast bigger rocks.. bigger water attacks.
i want to finish it but i feel like it will just keep being... lame o.o
any one else played it? does it get good? do you like it? do you hate it?

This is one of those nostalgia games for me. Everything about it is perfect :mokken:

Yeah, the battle system is what made me stop playing it long ago. It drove me insane. But..... There's so much connection that I have to the game, that I'll always love it. No matter how bad it indeed is. My emotions get the better of me when it comes to this game.

Damn, last time I played it was in... 09 I think. I still have it though. XD

Your sister is right. It is widely regarded as the worst game made for the 64. But then, most showcase games tend to be that way. Just showing off the power of the console. A good example of this would be the Bouncer(but I totally loved that game).

i am not sure if it showed off to much. i think ocarina of time looks a little bit better. i am going to keep playing it i just was curious if it gets any better. i am going for the third village now. i am guessing some one will say.. oh noez we lost this thingy that we need to survive and i go and get it then the guy is like oh you keep it xD

This is a bump but I managed to finish the game well i was waiting for my computer to come back... and yeah, i don't even remember a whole lot of it o_O The whole game felt rushed. I mean there wasn't many RPG games on N64 the only one I have played that I can think of is paper mario. Sure its pretty easy and straight forward RPG elements but boy is it fun.

Quest 64 was fun in SOME spots but I felt like it was a ... beta? A test version? I just don't understand why there wasn't a whole lot to do with it. Still, i don't 'hate' it like my sister does but its not a game i would play again anytime soon ;o
