This must have been asked before but I couldn't find anything in a search.

In the CTB window, sometimes to the left of the person whose turn it will be, there is a purple bar (normally split into light and dark shades).
What on Earth does this mean? Sometimes if you highlight a command, the bars will change length, but the characters won't move places, which makes me think it is something I should be taking note of.

Only thing I can think it is, is just showing which character you have selected, just to like, make life easier I guess. I never really paid all that much attention to it, so Im not sure if it would have any other use beside what I just said :confused:

Perhaps I'm not explaining well;

The red arrow indicates who you have selected, and the yellow arrow indicates your current character.

I am talking about the purple bars by each block - notice how the top 4 blocks have none (although they do have that white bar, what's that about?) then the next 4 have two shades of purple, with there being more of the darker each time, then the one after that has two darker shades of purple.

I can't seem to find any information in the manual or the strategy guide.

Ohh I see what you mean now, I can only assume that the more purple it is, the further away that characters turn is..... other than that I honestly have no idea, sorry. Maybe you are just reading too much into it, Ive never noticed anything happen because of it, it was just....I assume it's layout

the bars are for the turn order you have 4 rates
Character really close to their turn
Light- Close to their turn
Mid- not close to their turn
Dark- far from their turn.
If you can get the bar higher up then the person above then that person will have their turn earlier.

Doesnt it change depending on what command you use? When you perform a certain action in battle, it can change when your next attack will be. Quick hit will give your character another attack much sooner. The closer it is to full the sooner your attack will be after using a specific action. If that makes sense

The white bar is the scroll bar (press R2 and it will move down). As for the purple bars, I guess the recovery time idea makes sense.
