I would say the DS is a better buy out of the two. Games are way better, and you have so much to choose from. The PSP has a couple of great games like FFT and Crisis Core but really, for the price you pay for it, it should have a larger library.

There may be potential but it's less than the PSP's potential. And it's the DS that is 'banging them' into new age graphics not the other way around. I'd just prefer the older ones in updated and enhanced 2D like the PSP's I and II, keeping their 'classicness' rather than III and IV DS's rubbishly done 3D.I have both PSP and DS Lite, And gotta admit my poor PSP is just stuck in a draw. Even with Custom firmware I don't really find it that much fun compared to the DS.
Also for the comment about PSP wins cause of custom firmware.... Wrong my dear lol
Ever heard of a DS R4 Card?
As for the FF Games I think they should stick with the DS, Theres so much potential with the DS!
Theres a reason the old FF's are classic so stop tryin to bang them into new age graphics.
