I am surprised there is not a thread for this game already. It's something I only recently saw in a magazine, but this game will murder guitar hero and rock band faggots, and their plague of retarded youtube videos.

The game will use an actual guitar which doubles as both an Electric Guitar and Game Controller.

Some of us guitarists will immediately realize though, that there is only a Volume Knob and no Tone Knobs (actually this one has nothing on it, but that's what I read on the main site ), but I think that the price for the controller is pretty generous considering it has basic guitar performance and is also a controller.

It's only about 100 USD.

Wow, sounds like it's even more realistic to real guitar playing than Guitar Hero/Rock Band. I was a Guitar Hero junkie for a while, but retired because it was consuming way too much time. But it is interesting to see a similar concept taken to the next level. I doubt I'll invest in it for the reason I mentioned for giving up GH, but I would certainly love to play it sometime.

What console is this going to be for? I now need to play this (I'm a local championship winner for GH so this would be epic for me.) And judging from what Dan there said about it being more real, it could even improve my talents on the real guitar

Basically I want this just so I can get better at guitar. But one thing is, how will we know what string to use?

And for the record, I never actually bragged about my GH skill I just wanted the prizes

Well I know it's going to be on Xbox 360 and PS3, I have not really looked to see if it's available for the Wii since I don't own one.

I haven't really thought about it, but I think that I've only seen video content of non-pro mode gameplay. For Non-Pro modes I think you can actually just use normal Rock Band / Guitar Hero controllers.
