What kind of PC's do you guys have around here? Last year I took a chance and built my own PC after years of pondering whether I should or not lol. I ended up learning a fair amount of things about all the individual components.

Well I've been building it since last February and this is what I have

Motherboard : (AMD) Gigabyte 890FXA-UD5
CPU / Processor : AMD 1100T x6 Thuban OC'd to 4.0ghz
CPU Fan / Heatsink : Noctua NH-D14
RAM / Memory : 8GB G.Skill Ripjawz @ 1500mhz
Video Card : (AMD) MSI 6970 Lightning OC'd to 980mhz on the core (sometimes 1020mhz on cool days)
HDD : Western Digital Caviar Black SATAIII 32mb cache @ 7,200 RPM
SSD : Muskin Enhanced Chronos 240gb SATAIII SSD
Power Supply : XFX XXX black edition PSU 650 watt bronze
ASUS DVD burner / rom 24x (?) 16x (?) actually forgot the specs on this one
Cooler Master HAF-912 case
24" Acer 1080p (1920x1080) monitor
Razer Blackwidow Ultimate (and a Logitech G11) keyboard
Razer Deathadder mouse (as well as a Zowie) mouse

When I can, I'm going to upgrade to an Intel (Ivy Bridge) and Nvidia based build. I'll probably even try to custom paint and get my cousin to etch some custom designs on everything from the case, keyboard and mouse :), I might even try watercooling if there is a waterblock for a good Nvidia GPU.

I may just give this PC to my brother and build an Sandy Bridge based PC for my sister as a late Bday present.

I didn't build mine, but I've added on to it over the year and a half I've had it. Don't know the mobo or RAM brands:

CPU: Intel i5 quad core @ 3.2ghz
PSU: Corsair CX600 (600w)
GPU: HIS AMD Radeon HD 6850
HDD: WD 1tb 7200rpms
externals: WD 640gb and WD 1tb
RAM: 8 gigs @ 1333mhz
Monitor: Dell 20"
DVD Drive: dunno the brand, just has a DVD burner
Case: Stock Dell case

Probably gonna buy a new case sometime soon as well as another hard drive since mine are getting really filled up. The case I have I can only have one hard drive in its two bays because the GPU gets in the way of one of them. Also might get an SSD to install Windows to.

Ah, cool. Yeah, my first PC was a Dell. I had a ... I think it was called a 9150. I STILL have it actually, I"ll probably see if I can sell it for $250 with everything except the speakers :P It's actually a pretty nice case too. I just wish I could upgrade it a bit , otherwise I might have kept it.

Oh, sweet, a program kind of like CPUID / CPUZ. I should have linked to that in my original post lol, would have made things alot easier haha.

Well I guess it's time to find out where I kept my emulator and see how well I can record my games. Hope to see more posts tomorrow.
