Hi peeps,

I decided it would be an intresting idea to put a poll up to see who people think is better suited to be the next president of the U.S.A.

Simply vote, and state "McCain or Obama", you don't need to give a reason why, but can if you want.

No name-calling neccesary. If you feel like insulting somebody because they think McCain makes a better president, and you like Obama(or vice-vera) keep it to yourself. However if somebody says something you don't agree with you can reply and tell this person why you disagree.

And for the record my vote goes to McCain

I've become a bit disenchanted with the recent developments in this election, and though I was at first anxious and all-too-ready to run to the polls, I'm not going to be voting, because I despise Obama, and McCain seems just as bad of a choice. I've done my fair share of research into both of them, and I just can't come to grips with supporting either of them.

The only possible way I'll be casting a vote for this upcoming election, is if Obama or McCain acquire one impressive vice president. For Obama, that would be Hillary Clinton. For McCain...well, Mitt Romney isn't going to do it for me.

If Obama picks Hilary I think it will send a message to some(not everybody) but some, that hes weak. I've heard McCain has Crist, Romney, and some woman from Alaska whos young, all in mind for his VP position.

I forget her name though, but either way a liberal will end up in the White House lol.

I'd go with Obama. I despise McCain, actually.

Fair enough, considering I could say the same regarding Obama, I'm glad my home-country voted for Hilary XD.

I always disliked republicans, but I can see from their side as well.

I'm Independent, theres some things democrats say that I agree with like Gun Control, while i oppose the damn idea, i agree that things like Polymer Ball bullets, and certain carbines aren't needed for hunting.

But meh I'm a registered Republican, so yeah.

Red Mage - Put more effort into your posts.

As for choosing a president. Well, one main concern is the vice president. I hope that McCain chooses a good VP. Although he is 71, many Americans believe that McCain's health can be an issue. He could suddenly die of a heart attack. Who knows what could happen?

As for Obama, I'm a democrat and I agree with some of Obama's, but I'm not really sure about Obama. It's just Obama just seems to be winning because he promises this and that and change. I just don't see him keeping his words, or he might screw up in office.

Although I'm a democrat, I do believe in some republican views such as drilling for more oil, a spending economy, death penalty, and immigrant.

I'll have to see... There is a long way until the election. I'm not sure who to vote for yet.

What does really annoy me is whem democrats start making up bullshit about McCain being buddies with Bush. It's complete bullshit. This election almost seems like: "I HATE REPUBLICANS! DEMOCRATS ARE MUCH BETTER!"

John McCain. Obama is inexperienced, apparently weak, and seems like he would make an incompetent US president.

That said, I do think that John McCain is better suited in most ways, but the republican opposition to universal healthcare is one very important position. The nanny state policies of the Democrats are bad IMO, but at least they support universal healthcare.

I want Obama to be president and Hilary to be vice imo they make a great team.McCain Im not a big fan of him and his ideas.Im more into Obamas ideas. =/ So my vote goes to Obama.

Responses like that would be a tad spammy. Try to support your choice if you choose to post.

Personally, I want to vote for Obama...but his inexperience is unsettling. He seems like a good guy who has a genuine love of the country and its people, but I'm not convinced that he can lead a country effectively. With McCain, I feel this country would likely continue to move along as it does today...which may or may not be a terrible thing. I'm unsure if I'll vote or not. With politicians, it always feels like I'm choosing between the lesser of two evils...

I'd well off go for Obama. He seems to have an absolute love for America and its people.
It's also time we'd have a Black president on the line. The of the presidents of the USA were white. Or maybe I'm wrong, I'm not at all an American.
Not to be racist, but I think it's time to hear a Black person speak out as president. And that Black person may definitely be Obama.

Well I said that so that this thread wouldn't turn into the next Civil War :).

But Yeah I support John McCain, I think we started the war and might as well end it, McCain will end it, Obama won't. As for as universal healthcare is concerned, its a great idea, but with the tax system we have now, it won't work. Obamas border policy is a joke, being Hispanic myself I think everyone regardless of race should enter this country legally, and we shouldn't exploit anyone. Just for a history lesson the number 1 illegal immigrant to this country is the Irish, not Mexicans as some have been led to believe.

Thanks again Mr Poop for sharing your opinion, while its not the same as mine, I respect it(theres most of my reasons for voting for McCain).

And to the poster who said we should have a Black President because theres never been one, is kind of....not right. We should elect somebody because he/she is qualified for the position, not because of their race. My view in regards to affirmative action is the same. But I do agree, a Hispanic or Black president would be nice sometime in the enar future.

You can't just pull out Iraq. It may lose votes, but I'd vote for anyone who was willing to do the right thing, and leaving will just make that problem worse. By invading America made a commitment and it should stay until some order is restored. Iraq is a country with a huge Shia population that borders Iran. It would be stupid to leave and let Iran gain influence.

I'd vote for Obama, he is intelligent and will not be manipulated like Bush. The fact that he wants to talk to foreign leaders who have opposing views is a good thing to me.
However McCain is a republican who is not ultra conservative, which means he won't see progress as evil.
I'm not too bothered who wins as they both seem capable.

hmmm. Well I dont really like ether of them too much. But I think Obama is going to end up being the next president. Where I stand I go for Republicans but I think Obama is going to end up getting chosen one reason being because he is younger. But I digress on the siatuation. I know that sounds uncaring and stupid but truthfully I dont care who the next president is aslong as they make some improvments regardless of their backgrounds or whatever. improvements being: gas prices, world hunger ect ect.

Out of the two, I rather have Obama in office. The way our economy is right now and the way everything is going I think he'd be the better choice for president, even though I'm pretty sure no matter who we get in office it wont change anything at all, the world is on a downward spiral and will probably keep going in the direction.
