Ok, I'll edit now, sorry. My favorite Pokemon is Alakasam. I don't know if I spelled it right. I have a Kadabra, does any one know what lvl it has to be to evolve?

I agree, I had an emulator for a short time, and it just wasn't the same, I deleted it after not very long.

I always just buy a game when it's something that I want, it works out perfectly well for me, I've enjoyed many long hours playing Pokémon Diamond. ^_^
 
I was going to buy Pearl as my Brother just got Diamond, but I'm going to wait for Platinum to be released. I've still got alot of games to be getting on with and have lots of Pokemon on Emerald I want trained to epic standards so the wait isn't bothering me.

Kadabra's don't evolve by levelling, you have to trade it via link cable to another game for it to evolve. However this can be done at any level.
 
Have they given details on Platinum? Is it just going to be the 3rd installment of the Pearl/Diamond games? If so...why does it seem to be taking so long inbetween them? Weren't past 3rd installments relatively quick to be released?

It is going to be the third installment of Gen 4, with a few new features and slightly changed Pokemon rooster as per usual I guess. They usually take about 2 years between the first two and the third so its about right.
 
These expansion type games always sneak up on me, like Crystal.

Anyway after reading up on it apparently....

Also, we'll probably see Giratina on the box when the game is released this September. A new area, called Battle Island, will be introduced and it will be similar to the Battle Frontier.

Also, fans will notice a few alterations in Gym leaders and Pokemon placement. For example, Volkner will no longer be the Gym leader of Sunyshore City, Giratina and Regigigas will get new forms which will allow them to get the Levitate ability, Shaymin will be at least partially Ice Type with its Another form, and a few new other forms will be introduced (Giratina - Origin Form, Regigigas - Sky Form).

Who's Volkner? The last Gym Leader? If so he better not end up as Champion like that pussy 'let's see who's Pokemon dance more elegantly' fool did in Emerald whilst Steven Stone became an 'extra' (not that he was much cope to begin with either mind).
 
I'm bumping this thread because I gave in and bought Pearl about a month back. Defeated the E4 lastweek and got the National Dex so now looking to trade n'shiz over the GTS (I'm looking for Mews, Celebi's etc). Thing is I don't think they let you search for 'Mons that haven't been 'Seen' in the game on the GTS so getting thoughs legendaries are proving quite difficult.

Friend codes anyone? Mine's 4511 3394 3977
 
They don't let you search for Pokemons that you haven't seen, which I think is a flaw. The only way to search for it, is to battle it in the battle tower first, and hopefully you find the pokemon that you want.

I've been in that darn battle tower for days trying to battle someone with some of the pokemon I want just so I can trade for it.

I have lots of rare legandaries, but unfortunately I have no wifi, so, I'd gladly help people out if I could.

Anyone use the migrating feature for diamond/pearl?
 
I bought Diamon with my friend who bought Pearl. Haven't been playing as much since we now go to different schools and don't really see eachother as much :(

Personally, I have not enjoyed a Pokemon game as much since Gold/Pearl. it would be nice if did have a game that combined all the different regions featured in previous Pokemon worlds, but alas, I doubt any handheld system could handle the amount of space a game like that would take.
 
Yay I checked the GTS and got me' a Lv1 Piplup for my EV trained Lv50 Venusaur. Sounds odd but I didn't really need him and I prepher having lower levelled 'mons in return so I can start them from scratch myself. Now when I get Platinum, I'll start with Turtwig and I'll have all 3 starters without having to be lame and re-start the dame game over and over (which I've always seem to have done with all prevous games) :D.

Find a wireless network you can leech off. That's what I have to do for now ;)

I'm using the migrating feature. Pretty pissed that they only allow upto 6 'mons a day. I have vast majority of Pokemon on Emerald I want to migrate over but its going to take forever ><.

Ah right, that's rather lame. I've never really bothered with the Battle Towers, guess I have too now....

What one's are you looking for mostly? I have all the 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation 'mons on my Emerald cart (or at least one of the evolutions. Breeding ftw) minus the event only legendaries like Mew etc.
 
I'm looking for pokemon from the first generation like the first three starters, bulbasaur, charmander, and squirtle. Also the 3 legendary birds. Maybe a Latios and Latias
 
I bought Diamond and Pearl, and once I completed Diamond, I abused transferring Pokémon from Fire red. Then I breeded them, and traded the eggs over to a new game on Pearl.

So on my latest Pearl file I have a Prinplup, Charmeleon and a Leafeon xD
 
I still play diamond but currently waiting for platinum. We should exchange friend codes when platinum comes out.
 
Can't wait for Platinum! The Gameplay was amazing in D/P, so this could only mean better and more awesome stuff to mess with!

I've got all starters in abundance aswell as the legendary birds. Got a spare Latios knocking about I think aswell. Still have another Lv50 EV trained Venusaur with Magical Leaf, which'll be good for breeding. Thing is I don't know what I'll want for them, as all I'm really looking for atm is the event legendarys and Diamond exclusives ><

The only real beef I got with D/P (well minus the flawed GTS) is it's lack of variaty with wild Pokemon. I'm sick and tired of Golbats, Machokes n'whatnot because they are in most caves.....and you go through alot of cave in these here games. and the lack of Fire 'mons is gonna get me on Platinum as I plan to start with Turtwig. But otherwise it's gonna be epic.

Apart from Chimchar, Ponyta is the ONLY wild fire Pokémon in the game x_x It's ridiculous! Although, in fairness, Rapidash is awesome :wacky:

I wish I had wi-fi. I have an action replay, so I can get any Pokémon from the first 3 generations, transfer them from Leaf Green and onto Diamond. But...my DS is American, and it hates WEP codes D=
