Please Help!

Firstly i would like to say hello as i am new on here!

Secondly i was wondering if anyone could help me. My boyfriend is a huge FF fan. I am trying to buy him a christmas present and was wandering if there is an amazing FF book? I was thinking one with a collection of original concepts for the characters/ pictures of the characters with information on all of them? Something with amazing artwork/graphics? or a sort of encylopedia of FF?

Do any of you know of any books like this that exist?

The main one that springs to mind would a Final Fantasy Ultimania book.

There are quite a few out and they contain; artwork of the characters, screenshots, information, and sometimes other stuff etc. However, they are in Japanese. I'm not sure if one exists in English yet.

You might want to try the official guidebooks (in English). They used to have great things to look at in them, full of information. I think they only did them for the recent ones though. Not sure if any exist of the same quality for the earlier games.

For the earlier games you can buy mini art-books, which also contain information in them too. Again... They are in Japanese. I've got one of them (for FFVI), and it is ok to look at but it isn't as good as it could have been. The book contained less artwork than I was lead to believe... Some of the pieces of artwork were very small and shoved on the same small page making it hard to view them. Still good though, but I wouldn't suggest this.


Other than that, I'm not sure what would be suitable.
