Erm I think they are, I think a used PS2 in the Uk would be about £40 or something, But Dollars are like Double the UK so yes I think it's pretty fair.
I do not see the point in buying a used one... personally I would never buy anything used when it comes to stuff like these : consoles, hi-fi, DVD players etc......I rather save, wait and buy a new one....at least you get a guarantee witha new purchase, and if anything is wrong with it, you can send it back and get a replacement....
And that is a ok price for a new PS2. Here in UK it would be £99 for a brand new PS2...and for a brand new PS3 £425 (Woolies, Argos, etc.) ; I have not seen cheaper offer...think maybe in Game for £399.
Go for the new one, it's a great price considering the immense library of good PS2 titles out there. Don't bother with a used one, as Lorellin mentioned, buying used things of that nature is a risky endeavor.
The Playstation 2 had a gret number of games out; arguably the best in terms of quality AND quantity. It's a very good system. I bought a brand new slim PS2 off of eBay a year and a half ago when my launch one broke. I paid about $120 for it and it still works faster than ever.
Be careful of used ones, they tend to get the "Disc Read Error" junk a lot. Good luck in your results.
