I posted this in the pitbull debate thread, but it's a cool story and I figured I'd share it again.

But this dog is badass! Took three shots to the head after an intruder broke in and surivived. He won the dog hero of the year award.

This is the kind of dog I'd like to have one day.

Not the breed particularly, just the way the dog cared for his family and protected it is what I'm after in a dog.

Hopefully I'll never need a dog to do that for me but it's good to see what some animals are capable of. Can't believe he wasn't scared off after the first shot!

Good on him!
