Pinello?

Did anyone else notice that Pinello's character was never developed? I guess that she is an orphan like Vaan and is just along for the ride? It kind of annoyed me that ever other character at least some what developed except her.

Anyone else think so?
 
nOOb..... Atfer only 6 hour into the game(if you talk to every person and fight every monster) so more like 2 hours into the game you find out vaan lived with her and her parents and because of the opening scene war they died and work for mideglo(hope i spelled it gooder) now...... she a freelancing orphan thief

LEARN to not press X rapid fire thru everything and maybe.... just for you theres a part in the game where if your tapping X during the text it erases your game unless you pause to select the 2nd option..... GOOD LUCK(learn to read cause if you can even read in video games.... what the hell you need eyes for)
 
Penelo's character wasn't developed with much depth and insight in my opinion too. I liked her character nonetheless however.

And SwB-Chaz I think that you might have been jumping to conclusions there a little early about how Lassic plays the game. It's not very nice to accuse someone of something you do not know is true or not. And just finding out Vaan lived with her and her parents died does not consitute to me, "significant" character development...

Actually there wasn't much of a storyline to read through anyways. As for Pinello...it seemed like everyone else in the party had a reason for going or they had some sort of part in the quest. Pinello was just there and had a few lines once in a while.

No need to be rude, :mad: and yeah a lack of development on her and the rest really. Too bad =/
 
Swb-Chaz must either be 8 years old or on some crazy drugs to write that garbled rambling statement. Maybe he should get through 1st grade grammer before telling his opinion. :wacko:
 
I'll be honest with you, there was a lot of stuff left out in this story as goes for everyone. To me RPGS hook you because of the stories, not because of the actual gameplay , because after playing 50+ hours even the gameplay can lose interest without a good story.

So yea, Penelo for one, I mean she was a friend of Vaan's, but to be honest the only time you ever see her in the story is
when she was kidnapped, or when she tells Vaan that she is not going to leave and wants to accompany the rest - Her story never actually goes into much depth at all. She just seems like Vaan's little girl toy.. not much of a character.. honestly they needed to give her a little more..

I could go in depth about the other characters as well, but this post is about penelo.

SORRY I HAVE ALOT OF HATE FOR THE GAME...

If it wasnt for cid, chocobos, moggles........... i would say the game doesnt deserve the title FF. #Number of old sckool spells were missing( were the FK is the earth spells), no blue magics, cant customize color of text boxxes, everyones a carbon copy... wheres the special abillitys..(none)... some(auctally to many) small thing about the are so annoying...

penelo had a story line = to detail of the game as a whole....

if 9/10 of you are offened OWELL we cant all be true acult loving FF fans who think every game with the FF title is the greatest.

EDIT::: I will play it tho cause its still better than most every game out right at the moment, but i do still feel so let down........(VISUALLY PERFECT THO)

Let's see... Espers = FFVI SNES - As far as magic, what do you want back? Do you want fire 1 2 and 3 ? Lit ? They are using all the basic spells and added some from FFXI the online game. They have unique abilities, they are called Mist Charges or Quickenings. The visual is all that is different.

There are many FF tactics related things as well - for instance, each character can have a different strategy towards them.

You have Fran who is quick, you have Basch who is strong and has HP galore, you have ashe and penelo who have high MP, and then you have Balthier who has a high damage dealer. Then of course you have Vaan who is strong as well and has a lot of HP... each can be changed into different weapon/armor uses - depending on what you want them to be.

Also instead of having to use each and every character to your disposal you can actually choose to not use one person at all times, or two people depending on who you like and don't like.

FF related:
Airships - true you can't control them, but they are still there.
Cid - True, he's a bad guy after manufactured nethicite
Names of airships/places that came from names of old FF's

This is a strong Final Fantasy game.


The espers might be on the weaker end, but if you use them right they can pay off, for instance Zodiak can do a 60k attack each time.

Blue magic? umm they have green/black/purple/white - and you want one more? ... in my opinion they gave you enough to choose from as it is.
 
wants there is fantastic i agree but... you know how people tell you. "Its not what you did its what you didnt do."

Quickinings IMO are more or less "1" combo move that everyone can use thats not special.
Its like saying basch swings his sword different than every one else for his attack so it his special attack. everyone attacks < !



JUST THINK IF THEY NAMED KH --- FF, they could have, FFXII IS JUST WEIRD...
 
I agree that Penello did not received much develpment, I heard that there will be a DS game (i dont know if I will be able to play it;) ), that will follow the history of Vaan as a Sky Pirate and Penello as his girlfriend and takes place after the events of FFXII:cool:
