So I now have a copy of PS CS3 and have some real noob questions. Firstly...how do I add new brushes and new things that don't fit in one of the plug-in folders.
Go to the Presets folder and you should be able to find where it says 'Brushes' - drag your brushes to that folder and typically it should show up on Photoshop. Open up CS3, go to 'Brushes' then see that little arrow next to it? Click that, then 'Load Brushes' and pick whatever brush you want to load.
Unfortunately, sometimes mine doesn't work that way, so I end up having to open the Presets > Brushes window after I drag my brushes there, then drag the brushes into the photoshop 'Load Brushes' window. I know it may not make that much sense, but try the first step first. If it doesn't work, then do it this way.
Also, I'll move this to 'Help Service'.

Jeeze I suck at posting in the right places...fail on me Now, so I get how to do that, is there a place where I can get plug-ins or certain ones I need for sig making and stuff like that?
If it's brushes you want, deviantart is a good place to look, but I'd suggest just googling 'photoshop brushes' or something to that extent. That's the main way to find some pretty good brushes/sites.
Gradients on the other hand? I have no clue... I normally just create my own when it comes to that.
Plug-in's... honestly the only plugin's that I've found you have to buy or you get a free trial, and I've found it's just not worth messing with. :/ (watch me say that now and find a really kick ass plugin in a few days!) lol
Overall just google what your looking for, you'd be surprised what you may find after a few pages.
Well brushes you can just download from GFX sites. Check out deviantart.com as well...that site has tons of resources if you search specifically. As for gradients, you can do that yourself on Photoshop. Go to 'Gradient Map' by clicking on the black & white circle on the bottom-right. Then see where it says 'Layers' on one of your palette? That's your best friend right there. Just play around with it - you'll get the hang of it soon.
Alright, imma gather my resources and get to work on my first sig...with tut help of course...PS is a new interface for me...no interaction before...so it's gunna be tough
I would recommend joining a graphics site. I signed up to a few and they're really fantastic because you can get access to their tutorial pages and their resources boards where you'll find tons of C4Ds, brushes, stocks, renders and lots of other goodies
