I voted yes.
It is still an opinion. The story made you think. Before all these FAQs came out and made hypothesis's of everything that made sense and other FF7 games sprouted to tie loose ends we all were wondering wtf really happened with cloud. My main character was never understood fully and they swapped what he was so many times that the holes would make you play it again.
The way the story was handled and how you played during the cinematics was incredibly well done. Especially during the first weapon encounter @ Junon. Tifa getting gassed, barret and sith looking for a way out, slapping mayhem. Good fun that they didnt need to add but did.
Each character had their own story that you "wanted" to find out about. I always thought "who is this lil butt kicker?" and "why does he kick so much of it?". Eg like Vincent or one of my favorites Yuffie.
Graphically, it is not the best today.
Story, it is the most interesting/captivating to me
Gameplay, it is the best if you dont abuse it
I think alot of the ease of use for gameplay has been abusing the system with it's holes. Cheating in a game never gave the accomplishment feeling (at least to me). Obviously these are all opinions and i wouldnt blast anyone for thinking differently.
My top 3 RPGs for this day and age.
FF7 (played on my ps3)
FF6 (played on my hacked wii)
Lost Oddesey (xbox360)
